"Blue Jewel were absolutely fantastic at our April wedding! Many of our guests had never been to a Ceilidh before, but Steve and the band made sure that everyone got involved and had a brilliant time - I think everyone made it to the dance floor at some point, and many never left! The band were flexible with timings on the night and professional throughout, making for a truly enjoyable evening. We are so pleased that we booked you, and highly recommend you to anyone considering a Ceilidh. Thanks again, Hannah and Joe x"

"Just a note to thank you so much for last Saturday. You and the band were superb! You played with such energy which got everyone including the reluctant ones onto the floor. Your caller was lovely and very good humoured and patient with us which made a big difference too. I will send over some snaps including of you addressing the haggis, which I hope you will be able to use. "Davie, I don’t know where to start by thanking you boys for Friday night. There were over 100 peeps there and I would say nearly everyone has commented on how brilliant you were and how you made the night. Big Andy(the big fat loud boy) thinks you’re even better now compared to the wedding and we thought you were awesome then. Everybody had a great time which is mainly down to you guys. We’ve not stopped talking about it since. Hopefully, our paths will meet to let us get Shoogled once more. Pass our regards to the boys. "Thank you so much for playing at our wedding - you were fantastic and we had a wonderful time dancing with our guests! The evening was perfect, everything we had wished for. Everyone said how much they enjoyed it and you could really tell from all the laughing and smiling that the guests were having a great time. Some people had never been to a ceilidh before and I think they are now hooked! The music was wonderful and we really appreciated you playing some French folk dances for the French side of the family. From the moment we got in touch with you we knew you were the right band choice, as you were so friendly and professional. You went out of your way to make sure the evening went as planned. Thank you especially for letting us steal you away from your set-up to play us a few maypole tunes and for staying and helping us with the after ceilidh disco. Wishing you lots of good luck in the future and if we ever plan another ceilidh we know who to call!"

"We've so enjoyed having Blackbeard's Tea Party along at our events that they're now our "go to" band every time we have a ceilidh. They bring energy, musical talent and a sense of fun every time they play. Our ceilidh events are always a success, and that's mainly down to this great group of musicians. If you want a lively "proper" ceilidh band, then look no further than Blackbeard's Tea Party."

"The performers were brilliant. Ours was a slightly different gig: a St Patrick's Day celebration just in our front room in a terraced house with a small (about 8 people) audience. They played without a p.a system and it was an intimate, enjoyable gig with everyone joining in with the songs. LMM were great: friendly, efficient and prompt with contracts and arrangements. I'd definitely do it again."

"For our wedding on 22nd April 2018 we had the absolute pleasure of having Blackbeard's Tea Party as our ceilidh band. They are an amazing band and had everyone up dancing throughout the ceilidh. If your planning on a ceilidh for your wedding then look no further they were professional throughout and we couldn't have asked for anything more!"

"What a fabulous party we had with everyone entering into the spirit of the ceilidh! The music was great and the caller was exceptionally patient with the disproportionate number of young men at the party. It was a really mixed crowd – plenty of teens and twenties, through to those in their eighties. The dance floor was full throughout the evening and everyone, both young and old joined in, including the determined non dancers. Several people commented on what a lovely time they’d had. I’m very happy to recommend the band."

"Dear Kellys Heroes, Thank you so much for playing at our wedding. You were brilliant and so patient with us! So many of our guests have remarked how much they loved it- from the 20 year olds to the 70 year olds, all loved it and joined in, which is exactly what we wanted. Even the hip-hop fans who normally grumble at anything else were up having a whale of a time. We appreciated you expertise and advice and would recommend you to others. We hope you enjoyed playing and we're sorry the rugby score was not better!"
