Review Centre: Barn Dance Bands

"Wow, what a singer! Lucy was an absolute star, travelling up from London with her guitarist to my party in the Midlands to help me out at short notice, as I was struggling to find an act I liked and was available for my birthday party. What I didn't realise was, not only is she absolutely lovely but she has an amazing voice, great range, a huge variety of songs and she even did me an Elvis number by special request. Her guitarist was a quality act too. I know there are lots of 10/10 ratings on here, but seriously I don't think you could give Lucy any less, if you hire her, she will make your event a special one."

"A huge thanks to The Shooglers for a fantastic evening at Ross Priory for Kathryn's 50th Birthday Ceilidh. The band were fantastic and got everyone up dancing from the bairns ( The "Duracell Baby" 18-month-old Ava) to the adults (80+ year old gran) in what was a memorable night for our family and friends. The pattern was good, the ceilidh music was great and Pink Floyd's "The Wall" during A Dashing White Sergeant is STILL being talked about. Thanks for a great gig guys and would highly recommend for a booking...why would you choose anyone other than The Rockiest Ceilidh band in the World? "

"The Black Velvet Band provided us with a fantastic ceilidh for our wedding reception. They really got everyone up and moving, so much better than a boring DJ set. They were even accommodating to our more inebriated guests and explained the dance moves clearly. We had a wonderful time and would consider them again for future parties."

"Please pass on my thanks and huge congratulations to the Black Velvet Band for making the evening one to remember! The members of the band were very friendly and excellent at leading the crowds all of various ages! It was a night to remember for all the right reasons and I have not smiled so much since my wedding day! The Swiss roll formation is genius and the children (and adults) are still wondering how it worked! We will most definitely be booking them again!"

"We had a joint 50th & 80th birthday party. Black Velvet were fantastic. Great musicians and made the Barn dance run smoothly. We had ages from 5 to 80 and they tailored everything perfectly. Made it a birthday to remember."

"We were absolutely delighted. The whole thing was 'just right' and exactly what we were hoping for, including the type of dances and the calling. I have been receiving only positive feedback about it all. In fact our members are saying that it's the best Spring Celebration we've ever had. The non-dancers enjoyed it too as they were happy just listening to the music and watching the rest of us prancing about. "Barn with us recently played at our wedding in our back garden and they were incredible! Everybody was up swinging each other around to Cotton Eye Joe and other great hits. Lilac and her band were perfect for such a mixed age group and we all had fun trying out line dancing, we would like to thank Sound With Us for making our day so fun and a day our guests are still talking about!"
