"We honestly can't thank Oscar and Barney enough for everything they did to help make my husbands 40th an incredible night. They set the atmosphere off perfectly playing a range of great music that got the crowd going. They are absolute naturals and great entertainers. Not only is their music on point, and their talents endless, but they are so lovely with it, and really engaged with the room and played all the right things they felt people wanted to hear. From the outset the communication was clear, concise and friendly, as well as being really quick to respond. Thank you both for some great memories, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend and will definitely hire you again! "

"Hi I’d be delighted to leave you a review! Thank you so much for playing for our wedding Ceilidh dance and disco at the lodge on the Loch on Tuesday night. To be honest with you, we “thought” we had booked just your average Joe ceilidh band to play for us, but you guys are certainly not just average you are utterly brilliant. We loved all the Ceilidh Dances esp faithless in the strip the willow, top class. Also, the Dj set was brilliant and had everyone dancing all night. 10/10 hope to see you somewhere and and will recommend you to everyone. Thank you a million once again."

"Many thanks to the Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio for a fantastic 21st Birthday Ceilidh. The band provided a perfect balance for the young and young-at-heart, catering for everyone from the super-lively, to wheelchair-friendly dances, which was a lovely touch. Everyone had a great time."

"Dear Helen, David and I don't know how to thank you and your colleagues enough for your absolutely brilliant contribution to our wedding reception. Everyone was raving about how great you were, and I can't count how many times I said, in response to how I found you; "The best ever result of days of google searching" I think that I told you this before, but I listened to so many clips of bands, and it took me about 30 seconds of listening to you to know that you were the right people for the wedding of two musicians, whose guest list was chock full of musicians! I have an absolutely hilarious video of my 7 year old niece going crazy to your music, which I would be happy to send along if you would like. She is officially your biggest fan, and loudly declared that evening "That music makes this the BEST WEDDING EVER!!!" Please could you pass along our admiration and gratitude to the rest of the band? "We booked The Blaggers for our birthday party. They were absolutely fantastic. Lovely lads who were easy to communicate with in making arrangements and then very adaptable once they arrived. They are great musicians and the set list suited our occasion perfectly. Everyone loved it and they really set a brilliant atmosphere for the evening. Couldn't recommend them highly enough."

Communication ahead of time was prompt and helpful, and on the day they arrived on time and set up discreetly. The music was enjoyed by everyone, a room full of smiles and laughter. "Hi Steve, I just wanted to say a big thank you for the party on Saturday night, it went down a storm! My wife loved it (she's the important one, as it was her surprise party), and so did everybody else! Even the couple of teenagers that were there joined in! It literally was 8 to 80 years old's, although in didn't notice my mother in law dancing (she has had both hips replaced). I thoroughly recommend 'Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band' and will pass on your details to anybody looking for entertainment! Thanks again! Kevin "

Steve was an excellent lead at calling the dances, making sure I was happy and that the dances were fun and suited beginners as well as those more experienced."
