"Energetic tunes and striking harmonica. Mat and the band have applied the best of their quality musicianship to this release and that quality is impeccably demonstrated."

"Book them now you won’t be disappointed, my guests from age 8 to 80 loved this band. The amount of sadness when they stopped playing we could have danced until the early hours of the music licence had allowed ! Ben and the other members were amazing full of energy, coped with having to re jig a smallish space around without any worries. Dances were perfect and pitched at all levels of ability and if you didn’t or couldn’t dance it was fun to watch and tap along. Words from my guests were awesome, amazing, invigorating and the best fun amongst a few. Definitely worth booking you won’t be disappointed- Ben and co please be proud you make people’s nights ? you are a very talented, relational bunch I can’t wait until I’m 60 now as I’ll be booking you again ?"

"Such a special event" Good morning Mick, Just a quick note of appreciation to you and the band for helping us make last night such a special event (15th September 2023* Friday (8 - 11pm tbc) The London Irish Centre, 50-52 Camden Square, London, NW1 9XB). A ceilidh is a great way to bring the generations together, and, as you could see from the number on the dance floor, everyone had a fantastic evening. Thanks again and keep up the good work. Alex Kenny 16th September 2023"

"Each year our section hold a rally. Each year we visit a different location alternating between the UK and Europe. It was my turn to organise a weeks rally in the UK, and I chose the Two Bridges Hotel near Princetown as our base. We needed some form of entertainment for our Gala Night. Our group are in the in main middle fifties and some over eighty so the last thing we need was a rock group. I had some opposition when I suggested a Folk group but I prevailed and have to say that tracking down a band was in the area was extremely difficult. Typing a search in Google for local folk groups resulted in names almost everywhere except in the West Country. Eventually I contacted Blue Jewel and Steve convinced me that they could adapt to our needs. Every single person enjoyed the groups performance, there were 62 people there and almost every single one said how much they enjoyed the group. As the organiser I was greatly impressed by the way they accommodated our requirements and we had a brilliant night. Thank you Blue Jewel Chris. "A huge thanks to The Shooglers for a fantastic evening at Ross Priory for Kathryn's 50th Birthday Ceilidh. The band were fantastic and got everyone up dancing from the bairns ( The "Duracell Baby" 18-month-old Ava) to the adults (80+ year old gran) in what was a memorable night for our family and friends. The pattern was good, the ceilidh music was great and Pink Floyd's "The Wall" during A Dashing White Sergeant is STILL being talked about. Thanks for a great gig guys and would highly recommend for a booking...why would you choose anyone other than The Rockiest Ceilidh band in the World? "

"We booked Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio for a sixtieth birthday party. Very much a family event, so all ages including children, who particularly enjoyed it, although everyone had a really great time. One of the parents told me that her little one has decided that a ceilidh is the very best kind of birthday party, so the bar was set high for all future birthdays there! A few people knew the dances already, but most didn’t, and our caller guided us through each dance so that everyone could join in the fun! The atmosphere was lovely, and the musicians were impressive, plus really lovely people who were accommodating, helpful and great fun. I would definitely recommend them; they were fantastic, and the whole evening was an absolute joy. The only thing now is to find a good reason to do it all again!"

"When my mum passed away I knew I'd need live Irish music at the church and later at the wake. I came across Kindred Spirit duo on this site . They could not have been more perfect. Elaine on vocals and guitar was excellent and Martin on fiddle was outstanding, too. Their music was acoustic in the church when they played Lord of the Dance. It was exactly what I'd hoped for. At the venue they played a great variety of songs, including traditional and more modern, for example, The Corrs. The guests enjoyed their music and many guests took their details to book them for future events. They definitely made my mum's wake extra special - and memorable. Kindred Spirit Duo are friendly, eminently professional and very talented. In addition, they were very sensitive to the occasion. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you Elaine and Martin!"

"The Shamrock experience were truly brilliant. A really fun, friendly and energetic band who came to play for my family and friends at my 21st. Their playing was fantastic, running a ceilidh which was really enjoyed by everyone. It was the perfect band for the occasion and I highly recommend them."

"Had Lucy & Jack for our wedding band and they took care of music for the whole day, from ceremony right up to the end of the night and it was perfect. Such great song choices from beginning to end, and they pitched the mood exactly how I dreamed it. Thank you so much and hope to see you live again soon!"

"What a wonderful evening! I’m sorry not to have written before now, but this is my first opportunity for saying a big thank you to you and the band for an excellent evening’s entertainment last Saturday. Everyone, who has passed comment to me, said what a vast improvement Montana Rain was compared with our previous band, and from your results of getting people up and moving, I can only endorse that commendation! I look forward to contacting you early to book you for next year’s Square Dance."
