"We recently hired It's No' Reel Ceilidh Band for our wedding and were extremely pleased. Right from the beginning, communicating with the band was easy and stress free. The band arrived on time and set up without disturbing our reception in the next room. The band played exceptionally and everyone had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great band!"

"The Shooglers were real stars at our wedding in Lochgoilhead in October. They performed a perfect mix of ceilidh and rock covers, sometimes in the same dance! It really had everyone up on the dance floor for most of the evening. Afterwards, everyone wanted to know where we'd got them from including the venue coordinator who sees bands every week. Most of all, they have a great sense of humour - they realise it's all about everyone having a great time. Thanks again guys, you were awesome. "

"Rebecca helped to make our day very special. She was very professional, didn't need any involvement from us on the day (which was really good). She played exactly what we had selected to the highest standard, and added to the whole ambience of the day. We would not hesitate to recommend her and our guests were all as impressed as we were. A truly beautiful addition to a really lovely day."

"We decided on a ceilidh for our wedding reception; we thought it would give our day a great "party" feel. My husband is also Dutch and we wanted something that would suit everyone regardless of age, background and language. We definitely hit the jackpot with Blue Jewel - they did a fantastic ceilidh and the atmosphere was brilliant. We even had grandparents joining in the dancing! The instructions were clear and perfect for all language levels, and Blue Jewel was very flexible (we were running a little late) and had even looked up a Dutch song/dance especially for our wedding! We really enjoyed it and have had nothing but compliments about the band, music, and what a great idea the ceilidh was. I would definitely recommend!"

"Willow Tree Barn Dance Band provided the music for my husband’s 70th birthday party. We found them to be most professional and organised, arrived in good time and nothing was too much trouble. The music and tuition were top notch. A fantastic evening of jollity and mayhem, with all of our guests young and old saying they had a most enjoyable evening. "

"lack Velvet Band Hoedown Trio were so much fun! We booked them for our first Barn Dance and were unsure of how it would work. They fully put our minds at ease as everyone got stuck into the fun! "I cannot rate Lisa higher than 10/10, but I will do my best to justify why this should be possible. To begin with Lisa was a delight to deal with before, during and after the Wedding. Left largely to her own devices on the day, she was a complete professional and delivered all that we asked for and more. She was booked to perform to welcome guests to the Ceremony, during the Ceremony and throughout the Wedding Breakfast and did so exquisitely. We could not have made a more perfect choice of performer. Lisa is truly gifted, not only as an outstanding harpist, musician, songwriter and musical arranger, but she also has a tone to her voice that oozes pure quality, whatever the genre of music. Her performance of 'At Last' during the Ceremony was without question the best rendition of this much reproduced number that I have ever heard, including by Etta James. It was so good it caused a brief pause in everyone's joy for the married couple, as they went to sign the Register, whilst they registered the stunning sound, and this was captured perfectly on the video. Lisa performed a wide range of music equally well, including some traditional Irish music and other requests and was top class throughout. I lost count of how many guests complimented the beauty of her performances from start to finish and the fact that she set the perfect mood for a perfect day. It is certainly a sentiment that I echo loudly and I will forever remember and be grateful for the massive contribution that Lisa made to the happiest day of my daughter's life, and to one of my own."

"Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band were fantastic! From first point of contact by email, we found them to be helpful, flexible and professional. And then on the night they were all these things again and brilliant musicians with an excellent caller in Kip. He was so patient and fun. What we particularly appreciated was that Kip encouraged people to join in but didn't harangue or hassle anyone. He showed people what to do and ribbed some of the larger than life characters, which all added to the friendly warmth of the occasion. For anyone who isn't sure about having a ceilidh at a wedding, we would recommend this band as a brilliant introduction. My husband wasn't sure because he didn't want to feel forced to dance as he only usually does this when he's had several pints of beer. But we found Blue Jewel to be really encouraging, without being pushy and everyone joined in. It's really inclusive and a way of getting all ages up and dancing together. We were so pleased because our teenagers loved it too and no-one worried about being 'cool'. It's a very natural and traditional way of letting your hair down, mixing with everyone and having a good laugh. We would highly recommend this band."

"The band set up according to the plan that had been agreed and once the music got underway, the dance floor was packed for the whole night. Some of our guests had never been to this type of evening before and all we had back was extremely positive comments about the band and of the whole evening, which was to celebrate our daughter’s 30th Birthday. The band was an integral part of the night and made the night go with a swing. Well worth the 5***** GEOFF WARNER"
