"We booked It's No' Reel for our wedding at Balbirnie House in June 2015. We decided on them because of how good they sounded on their YouTube clips (their Game of Thrones theme was a real head turner!), the fact they didn't have a piper or an accordion (which we wanted to avoid) and their price. Tom who deals with the bookings was very professional and keen to tailor the evening to our needs. The minimum is a three piece with the option of adding other pieces as you like. We opted for a second violin as we thought the two violins together sounded awesome! The band offer ceilidh for as much of the night as you want, and after that they are happy to hook up their computer to the PA system and play a DJ set. We liked having the option in case our guests weren't feeling the ceilidh. As it was, we were having such a great time that we ceilidh-ed all night! It was an amazing night, made by the quality playing. Let's also not forget the quality calling so all the guests knew what they were doing! We have had so many compliments about the band's playing since the wedding. Thanks so much to you guys. Just great musicians who put the reel into our reception!"

"Amazing performance and so easy to book and host. Contact was so easy leading up to the event, and was made so much simpler by them liaising with the reception event location directly to sort out logistics. The Ceilidh itself was incredible and just what my wife and I wanted! Great music and fantastic calling, Jake was so friendly and involved everyone in all the dances, which is just the inclusive atmosphere we wanted. They were also really accommodating when (inevitably) plans ran behind a little bit by the evening and the Ceilidh start needed nudging back 10 mins - which helped us out massively. Thoroughly recommend, had plenty of our guests asking who they were and where we found them!"

The music is a delightful combo of folk-style interpretations of current hits and old favourites that was just perfect for our boho-style forest wedding in a tipi. "We wanted to email and once again thank you for playing at our wedding last Sunday at Lochgreen in Troon. You guys were terrific! Our very international group of guests had a great time, for many of them, first time at a wedding in Scotland and certainly first time at a ceilidh. Thank you for expertly guiding them through the dances and making sure people roughly knew what they were meant to be doing! We've had many comments about how good the band was so we wanted to pass that along to you. Thriller and the Bond theme being dropped mid dance and the impromptu Game of Thrones dance were particular highlights. "

"Loved having them churn out the reels at a private party. (13th September 2025 Saturday Chesterton Road, Cambridge CB4) Couldn’t have been happier with our choice. I think they read the audience well and our (in) capabilities at following instruction, which meant that we did enough right to keep the dances going and cause enough confusion for fun and hilarity to shine through. "I booked Whisky & Ginger for my Gran and Grandad's wedding anniversary party and they were absolutely great! From our first interaction, they were super professional and really put my mind at ease with everything else I had to organise. I truly felt I could just leave them to get on with it and not have to worry. And I was right! They arrived on the day, set-up super quickly and super subtly. We were a bit delayed with our timings of other events during the day and they were so helpful and willing to adapt and delay what they had planned. They even took some last minute requests from us on the day and included them in their set which really made it special for my Gran as they were able to perform her favourite song. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone thinking about booking, they were totally professional, entertaining and fun!!!! Thank you again!!!!!"
