"We very much enjoyed having The Blue Jewel Celidh Band at our Platinum Jubilee Hoe Down event. Marquee based. Fantastic, lively tunes and the caller made sure everyone was included and were able to follow. They played us off our feet! Much fun was had by all! Throughout the planning they were easily contactable and very accommodating. Highly recommended!"

"The band was great and they tailored the music to suit our group and encouraged people to join in. Lovely manner and professional. Very experienced caller and musicians. Enthusiastic comments and praise from all our guests. Several potential enquiries regarding bookings will hopefully follow. "I booked Whisky & Ginger for my Gran and Grandad's wedding anniversary party and they were absolutely great! From our first interaction, they were super professional and really put my mind at ease with everything else I had to organise. I truly felt I could just leave them to get on with it and not have to worry. And I was right! They arrived on the day, set-up super quickly and super subtly. We were a bit delayed with our timings of other events during the day and they were so helpful and willing to adapt and delay what they had planned. They even took some last minute requests from us on the day and included them in their set which really made it special for my Gran as they were able to perform her favourite song. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone thinking about booking, they were totally professional, entertaining and fun!!!! Thank you again!!!!!"

"Wow what a night! We had an absolute ball, the band were fantastically talented and accommodating to a group of people who had never danced a Ceilidh before. There wasn’t a face in the room that didn’t have the biggest smile on it, can’t thank the team enough. Would absolutely book again and recommend to anyone needing a Ceilidh band."

"Thanks to the band for the entertainment provided at our fundraising ceilidh at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange. With Mike's dance-calling all dancers were able to perform even the more complex ones with no major disasters on the floor! Thanks to Phil for being so adaptable with the various events we had, and to all the band for making it a great night."

"We honestly can't thank Oscar and Barney enough for everything they did to help make my husbands 40th an incredible night. They set the atmosphere off perfectly playing a range of great music that got the crowd going. They are absolute naturals and great entertainers. Not only is their music on point, and their talents endless, but they are so lovely with it, and really engaged with the room and played all the right things they felt people wanted to hear. From the outset the communication was clear, concise and friendly, as well as being really quick to respond. Thank you both for some great memories, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend and will definitely hire you again! "

"We wanted to say a huge thank you to you and the band for playing at our wedding last weekend. You were absolutely brilliant!! You played some of the family favourites just beautifully and absolutely filled the dance floor for our (ahem – unofficial) ceilidh. We had so much fun dancing the night away. I understand one of the 3 year old cousins asked you to play one of the tunes again – I suspect that is a moment that will go down in family history. Also – thank you so much for all your help before the wedding – I’m notoriously bad at returning phone calls and you were fantastic at staying in touch and keeping on top of communication – I really appreciated that."

"The Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band entertained us at our village fete dance and we would highly recommend them. This was the second time we have booked them and they did not disappoint us. They gauged the audience well and made sure both young and old could join in. They coped supremely well with the last minute change of venue due to bad weather also. Communication and booking was easy. Thank you guys! "
