"I just wanted to say a huge thank you for playing at our event yesterday. We’ve had some fantastic feedback from the scholars and they all seemed to have a great time learning the different dances, and I think this was a very memorable way to round off the day for them. Hopefully this will inspire many of them to continue dancing! It was lovely to meet you all and I hope you enjoyed the evening too. We certainly wouldn’t hesitate to recommend your band to others. "

"Lucy performed everything from our ceremony music to the evening and it was absolutely incredible and loved by all! Any request was never too much to do and her personal music we loved! Everyone at the wedding said we nailed our music choice! If I could do it all again, Lucy and her band would be booked again and again.."

"Just a quick note to thank you for playing at the wedding of my daughter Emma and Nathaniel's wedding on the 29th December at the Old Swan Hotel. Iam sorry that I was unable to catch you on the evening and express my thanks as the ceilidh capped a wonderful day. For many of the guests this was their first experience of a ceilidh as we had guests from Australia, Japan, Switzerland and Canada. They/we loved it and you made the dance routines very clear with your instructions. Those that could no dance really the live music. Please pass on my gratitude to the other musicians. "Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band have been playing at our annual barn dance for the last few years and I can't recommend them highly enough. We are a befriending service providing support and activities for the over 50s to promote social inclusion and independent living. As part of our Active Steps programme which offers weekly dance classes across Plymouth, we organise one-off events including ceilidhs. Blue Jewel always bring out the best in our participants with their great music and friendly, approachable manner - it is the highlight of our year! "

"I have seen this band perform many times over the years and find them consistantly very good. A good mixture of folk, Irish, humour and generally fun. They've always had the ability to make you want to get up and dance!"

"Highly recommend Blue Jewel - they are a lively group and helped to make our wedding reception a fun and memorable one. When we first got in touch, Steve got back to us quickly and was very accommodating. The guys even learnt a couple of new songs to play as a medley for our first dance, with no fuss but great effort! :-)"

"We hired the Edinburgh Ceilidh Trio for our wedding and they were fantastic, we had 3 hours of playing and I don't think the dance floor was empty once. They were great at explaining the dances to the guests, allowing them to quickly learn the dances and have a go. Many of the guests - most of which had never done a ceilidh before - all reported how much fun they had. "

"We were so impressed with the band. They were patient with us as we struggled to follow instructions. We had around 30 children. They were adaptable to the situation in front of them. They had everyone up and dancing. Really enjoyed them and yes we'd book them again."
