"Dear Tom, A wee e-mail to thank you and the band very much indeed for helping to make my retirement do such a success. You gauged the mood of the evening and the company perfectly and have had lots of positive feedback. I hope you had a good trip back to Glasgow and perhaps you could drop an e-mail next time you are playing In the city. We'd very much like to hear the band again - and to sit back and relax while doing so, now that I'm officially a retiree! - and would tie it in with a visit to my son. "What can I say? If you are a fan of Irish music, instrumental or with vocals then Dermot and the rest of the amazing musicians are who you need to hire! They were an absolute joy and a pleasure to have play at my beloved father's wake. They are such lovely and friendly people as well as fantastic musicians with a vast array of instrumentation between them. They graciously accepted requests prior to the event and also from some of the guests. My dad would have absolutely loved it and it made a very sad day very joyful and comforting for everyone. Our guests commented on how wonderful they were and the pub staff as well. I highly recommend hiring Dermot and the gang for any event, not just a wake. Communication was excellent before hand and hiring Dermot and the band were the easiest part of the many arrangements that we had to make when organising our dad's funeral and a wake. We sincerely thank you and highly recommend you, The O'Brien family."

"Dear Helen, David and I don't know how to thank you and your colleagues enough for your absolutely brilliant contribution to our wedding reception. Everyone was raving about how great you were, and I can't count how many times I said, in response to how I found you; "The best ever result of days of google searching" I think that I told you this before, but I listened to so many clips of bands, and it took me about 30 seconds of listening to you to know that you were the right people for the wedding of two musicians, whose guest list was chock full of musicians! I have an absolutely hilarious video of my 7 year old niece going crazy to your music, which I would be happy to send along if you would like. She is officially your biggest fan, and loudly declared that evening "That music makes this the BEST WEDDING EVER!!!" Please could you pass along our admiration and gratitude to the rest of the band? "Big thanks to Davie, Stevie and Gordon of The Shooglers for playing at my wedding at Killearn Village Hall. They were great at talking us through the dances as half of our guests had no previous experience of ceilidh dancing. Their rocky twist is done fantastically well and they cleverly link classic rock songs into the traditional ceilidh music. We first saw them play at the ghillie dhu and so I can safely say they are very versatile with the events they play. The guys are very down to earth and easy to sort out the logistics through email. Thanks again guys, we will definitely look out for you if you play any public events again! "

"We just wanted to email to thank the guys for being amazing on our wedding day! So many of our guests have commented saying how great they were and that they got the party started straight away. They loved that they could just request their own songs and everyone has said the atmosphere was nothing like they had seen before at a wedding that early on in the day. Even the staff at the house stopped us to say how good they were. They were exactly what we were after and we couldn't be happier. If you could pass on our thanks that would be amazing. Best wishes"

"I just wanted to get in touch regarding the above booking for our wedding to thank you and your team very much indeed for such a fantastic job providing the ceilidh music. The music itself was absolutely first rate and a number of guests have specifically complemented us on this. You made a very valued contribution to such a special day for us and the atmosphere in the room when the dancing was in full swing was just brilliant. A particularly memorable moment of the whole day for me was the packed dance floor giving it their all to a Strip the Willow with the James Bond theme tune being worked into the music - absolutely superb! "

"I booked John to sing at my 40th birthday BBQ and he completely exceeded my expectations. He took requests from all my guests and sang everybody's favourite songs. He even did some Disney for my neice. After his set he stayed for some food and fitted in like part of the family. We enjoyed his cheeky personality as much as his music and if i'm completely honest I think I have developed a bit of a crush. HAHA!"

"WOW! A blast of energy! You all rocked the house and with only 5 people gave us a full soul-Motown sound that just blew us away. Even had a little drink with us at the end of the evening and Remko made sure the music was playing right till everyone's left. True professionals, recommended!!!"

Booked them for our wedding and could not fault them, they showed up in plenty of time and had lots of our guests up and dancing including our 2 year old 😂 lovely down to earth guys, would recommend it to anyone and hopefully will be able to book them again for future occasions. "Just wanted to say thank you for your help with arranging the booking for Rebecca at our event on Friday and thank you to Rebecca for the wonderful music. Everyone including my MD was super impress with Rebecca singing and playing. It was a lovely addition to our event, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the music.
