"Lilac and the band were the perfect choice for my daughter's Bat Mitzvah party. She was a pleasure to work with and was happy to tailor a set to suit our needs. The band learned a number of songs especially for us, which was amazing. They have excellent equipment that ensured they were able to tailor the sound to the space perfectly - not too loud, not too quiet. Lilac and co are great performers and got everyone dancing, including some usually-sulky teenagers. They made our daughter feel special and she had an amazing time. I can't recommend them highly enough."

"Hi Fiddlestix, Thanks again for the wonderful ceilidh you and your band put on for us last Saturday. I have written a review for you to use below. Warm regards Julie Fiddlestix played a mix of English, Irish and Scottish music at our wedding breakfast in December. Both the musicians and the caller were excellent and we all thoroughly enjoyed the ceilidh. Many of our guests took to the floor, some of whom had never participated in a dance before. When numbers dwindled at the end of the evening, the band switched to performing Elvis Presley songs which got some of our remaining guests up and dancing. People have told us how much they enjoyed the music. Thank you, Fiddlestix, for providing us with such fun. Julie"

"Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band were a fantastic addition to our evening wedding celebrations. We had so much fun - from the very young to old, complete novices to experienced dancers, the band catered for us all. Steve led the band with friendliness and humour, giving clear instructions and sharing his knowledge about the dances as we went engaging those that were spectators! We would highly recommend them for anyone thinking about it for their wedding too, and thank them for adding fun and an all-age entertainment to our day!"

"We celebrated the end of our sailing season with a Ceilidh on Saturday. It was a brilliant night - Blue Jewel were great. We had a room full of all ages (8 to 86 as far as I am aware) and everyone in the room was smiling and laughing and the dance floor was never empty. I can't recommend anything better for a good party."

"What can we say?! You guys were fantastic, we had so much fun as did our guests who have not stopped with the compliments since. It was our first ceilidh dance like many of our guests but it mattered not at all, Kip was brilliant at calling the moves and getting everyone up on their feet having a go and managing to get us holding it together which is no mean feat when it comes to rhythmically challenged mates!! And for those of my guests who have been to many a ceilidh dance, they too couldn't praise the band highly enough and all said it was the best they have been to. One very happy bride :-) I'd recommend Blue Jewel to anybody wanting to inject some fun into any party - the perfect ice breaking, crowd pleasing entertainment, everyone can join in and have a blast, no rhythm required!! "

"I just wanted to drop you a quick line to say how fantastic the band were at our wedding at Christmas. They 'read the room' perfectly, and delivered an excellent performance that created a great atmosphere and got the room dancing! Their unique style of delivering well known songs with a gypsy / folk twist was really well received as they didn't try to replicate the song exactly- making them less of a cover band which was just what we wanted. They were also super easy to work with and really relaxed on the day. The fact they also learnt a new song for our first dance was really special! I would not hesitate to recommend them! "

"Whilst some duos stick to a traditional & tried and tested route, A & B have avoided that. They have chosen a hip approach to their covers and original set! Not a light-hearted approach either! They are here to play... to give a new listening experience... a must see in the LIVE! Unique in all aspects."
