Review Centre: Barn Dance Bands

"We hired Charlotte for my Mum's 80th birthday party barn dance in Worthing on Saturday. It was a great evening with live music from Charlotte and Richard (fiddle, banjo, accordion). Not everybody got up to dance but you'll always get that. For those that did we had a very entertaining evening with lots of laughter and my Mum loved it."

"Wow, what a singer! Lucy was an absolute star, travelling up from London with her guitarist to my party in the Midlands to help me out at short notice, as I was struggling to find an act I liked and was available for my birthday party. What I didn't realise was, not only is she absolutely lovely but she has an amazing voice, great range, a huge variety of songs and she even did me an Elvis number by special request. Her guitarist was a quality act too. I know there are lots of 10/10 ratings on here, but seriously I don't think you could give Lucy any less, if you hire her, she will make your event a special one."

"We had a fantastic time with the Blue Jewel Ceilidh band, brilliant music. We all had such fun, everyone could join in as nothing was too complicated. The caller was very good and hit the right note, very professional and special thanks to them all for making every effort to get to the venue after the snow drifts and icy roads caused major problems for many. It helped to make our daughter’s Wedding a very special day. "

"What can we say but the most enormous THANKYOU for a wonderful evening on the 25th! You made our wedding reception utterly wonderful and so many of our guests have said how much they enjoyed the evening and the music. My 93 year old grandmother refused to leave until the end and her feet were tapping all evening....she even joined in the last dance and that has to be credit to you. One table of guests had never been to a ceilidh before and said how much fun it was. You already have a couple of photo share recommendations on Facebook! I didn't get chance to speak to anyone directly as it was all a bit mental on the night but I really appreciated your professionalism and hard work. I hope you got chance to have some food....I did ask the team to reserve some! Be assured we will be booking you for our next ceilidh."

At very short notice you provided me with a bespoke programme of traditional Irish melodies played before the service. And you even learned a rare Irish tune to play at the end of the service that my aunt loved. All our family and friends in the congregation were so moved. The caller and band made the whole event run smoothly and all the guests commented on how much they enjoyed the evening. "We booked Americana for our anniversary Barn Dance which was attended by around 200 people. They had a caller who helped everyone learn the steps. It was a great evening! We had the opportunity to discuss what was wanted directly with the band prior to the event which was helpful and reassuring. The band subsequently put together a great set with a fabulous selection of songs which were performed brilliantly. The interval music was also well received. We had nothing but positive feedback from our guests, so a successful evening! Very happy with our choice of band for this special event."

"We had seen the Band before at a School fund raising Barn Dance in Newton Ferrers. They were superb then and they were again at our Twinning Barn Dance. There are plenty of good Bands around for Barn Dances but this Band brings a few extras. Not only are they first class instrumentalists but they have great callers. They even speak French! We have no hesitation in rating them 10/10. "
