"I just wanted to thank FF.O.B. Band for last Saturday in Abbotsley. The band were amazing and it was a super evening. Ollie the caller had just the right manner too. We had many tickets sold and lots of participation and fun! Hopefully again next year!"

"It is a pleasure to hear a klezmer band that knows their repertoire on both genre and geography and this band have put in the time to learn more than just the material. They know the form and function of the pieces, the geography of the origin and style of the repertoire and this is reflected in both their playing and their commentary."

"Just a quick note to say thank you so much for playing so brilliantly at the event on Saturday. There has been lots of positive feedback from the event, and we really hope that you will be able to play for us again next year. Thank you especially for managing to get through the programme in such limited time, to make the evening stress free for all of us! "

"Blue Jewel Ceilidh band were absolutely amazing at our wedding, I cannot rate them highly enough. They were so understanding about us running slightly behind schedule. The music was incredible and got everyone dancing. Kip was also a great caller - really easy instructions to follow and very funny. I even asked for a Welsh tune to be played and one band member actually composed one himself and performed it on the day. I'm unbelievably impressed with this band, and if you're thinking about booking, I'd highly recommend."

"Hi Davie, A massive thank you to The Shooglers for playing at our wedding. We were impressed with how you managed to herd 100 clueless folk around the dancefloor and we've definitely converted some to loving a good ceilidh. We're happy to send testimonials if needed. Such an amazing night deserves praise! All the best! "

"I'd just like to say a HUGE thank you to Michael and the band for performing at our special Anniversary Ceilidh in Bristol last month. Everyone had so much fun, I'm definitely glad that we found a real Scottish Ceilidh band. The calling was especially good as we had rather a few newbies to Ceilidh's, the gradual increase of pace was just perfect."

"We had an amazing night thanks to Blue Jewel. Our international students had never seen or heard of a ceilidh before, but after a little convincing they joined in with the first dance. By the time it came to the second dance, they all wanted to join in and then danced for hours. The band were so great at explaining what to do, especially to students who are learning English, and making them laugh - plus playing wonderful lively music! "

"There are not enough superlatives to describe the performance that it was Elaine's and myself witnessed on the 4/4/2026 at the Soldiers , Hednesford. You were oh what can i say that described your performance. Sorry i cant. There are rumours abound that you are going to be booked for a repeat performance. Thanks for the enjoyment shared by all concerned."

"Lucy and Jack performed at our ceremony, wedding breakfast and party. They kept us going ALL day and well into the night and every step of it was absolute perfection. "

"Elizmiri Du Toit • Nov. 16, 2019 We hired Rejigged for our wedding reception. The guests all loved joining in and learning the dances. Best decision of the day (other than saying I do) was hiring them. "

"Hi Fiddlestix, Thanks again for the wonderful ceilidh you and your band put on for us last Saturday. I have written a review for you to use below. Warm regards Julie Fiddlestix played a mix of English, Irish and Scottish music at our wedding breakfast in December. Both the musicians and the caller were excellent and we all thoroughly enjoyed the ceilidh. Many of our guests took to the floor, some of whom had never participated in a dance before. When numbers dwindled at the end of the evening, the band switched to performing Elvis Presley songs which got some of our remaining guests up and dancing. People have told us how much they enjoyed the music. Thank you, Fiddlestix, for providing us with such fun. Julie"

"I have seen this band perform many times over the years and find them consistantly very good. A good mixture of folk, Irish, humour and generally fun. They've always had the ability to make you want to get up and dance!"

"Rastrum played for our Burns Night at the University of York last week and it was one of the most successful student events we've had in months! It was the perfect setting for students to relax and have fun with old and new friends. The atmosphere was just buzzing and we've already had requests from students asking to do this again. The band were flexible with our venue change and were generous with the dances. The caller was very clear and warm which made the evening incredibly inclusive, especially as over 100 of our students had no idea what a ceilidh was at the start of the evening! So by popular demand I think we'll be getting a ceilidh booked in again very soon. And last but not least, the band play together perfectly and the tunes they chose were brilliant. "
