"Hi Fiddlestix, Just wanted to thank you and your band very much for a most successful Macmillan Cancer Support Barn Dance event last night. Your band and your caller Geoff kept everyone fully involved all night long and it was a very enjoyable evening in the knowledge that essential money was raised to help people and their families affected by cancer. £1300 was raised last night after all expenses and we feel that was a decent amount. "Wow, what a singer! Lucy was an absolute star, travelling up from London with her guitarist to my party in the Midlands to help me out at short notice, as I was struggling to find an act I liked and was available for my birthday party. What I didn't realise was, not only is she absolutely lovely but she has an amazing voice, great range, a huge variety of songs and she even did me an Elvis number by special request. Her guitarist was a quality act too. I know there are lots of 10/10 ratings on here, but seriously I don't think you could give Lucy any less, if you hire her, she will make your event a special one. "

"We can't recommend Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band enough. They were such a great addition to our wedding and everyone said afterwards how much they'd enjoyed it. Kip was a great caller, fantastic with the children and got everyone involved."

The evening was a great success and I received several comments on how good the band was, and their ability to get people onto the dance floor and then of course keeping them there. "Dear Fiddlestix, We are back from honeymoon and have finally caught up with ourselves, and I just wanted to send you a (rather belated!) email to say a huge thank you to you and the ceilidh band for the fantastic playing at our wedding. "Excellent acoustic music, perfectly suitable for the small venue we hired. (They also have amplifiers for bigger venues) They played a good variety and took also special requests. Will hire them again, if an other occassion arises."

"What a fantastic band! The booking process was easy and seamless, communication was great, and the band created a brilliant atmosphere at our joint 40th/60th family birthday party. Our very experienced caller got all the guests on the dance floor - with ages from 3 to 83, and a number of guests with wheelchairs, walkers and other mobility needs, that was no mean feat! We had a wonderful evening, and made some brilliant memories that will last a lifetime. All the guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Thank you so much to the band for making our special evening such a success!"

"This band played at my mother's 70th birthday party. They were excellent. Really accommodating, enthusiastic and friendly. Nearly everyone got up and had a dance, and had great fun (even the self-proclaimed non-dancers). I couldn't recommend them more. "
