"This band are the best in the west! Kip is a brilliant caller - he puts people at their ease and makes it all such fun. Musically the band are top notch - Steve is a brilliant fiddler and they are all so on it and experienced that you know you are in very safe hands. I would recommend them very highly. "

"Willow Tree Barn Dance Band provided the music for my husband’s 70th birthday party. We found them to be most professional and organised, arrived in good time and nothing was too much trouble. The music and tuition were top notch. A fantastic evening of jollity and mayhem, with all of our guests young and old saying they had a most enjoyable evening. "

"Thank you Blue Jewel for making our barn dance such an enjoyable and memorable occasion. It was great to see so many happy smiling faces on the dance floor. The caller,Kip, was excellent at engaging with the dancers and gave very clear instructions to follow and they are good musicians. Steve was very helpful when organising the event and quick to respond to any communication. They are a very professional group and I would have no hesitation in recommending them. "The band was booked to play at our fund raiser event at Farringdon Village Hall, East Devon. We had organised a village Barn Dance / Social in order for parishioners to gather from around the extensive parish, and to raise funds for the village hall. Wow! How great were these guys!!!??? Simply brilliant. Three very laid back, no fuss, no nonsense musicians who worked wonders in getting everyone dancing to some great tunes. Even die-hard 'non-dancers' were dancing. A friend and neighbour found this band and recommended that we use them. What a great choice. We would certainly recommend Blue Jewel to anyone considering hiring a professional local Ceilidh band. Thank you very much Blue Jewel; you certainly helped make the night a great success."

"Rachel performed for us on the 25th at The Pheasant Inn in Winnersh - extremely professional service and even brought along a support act to start the evening off. Rachel performed a range of covers to cater to all of our customers and even took requests to ensure the atmosphere was buzzing! Extremely interactive with the audience and staff members on the evening encouraging everyone to join in and have a little boogie! - with this she even managed to get our loyal locals out of their little corner to come and enjoy the performance! (some of those even danced along!) Booked again for July and we cannot wait to see what is in store for the next performance! "

"I booked Kellys Heroes to play at my 60th birthday party. You were amazing and everyone loved you. Everybody there was talking about how good you were, and they are still talking about it, even now. You were the main feature of the party which people remember! Of course, your excellent local reputation preceded you and that took some living up to - you did so admirably. I was worried that, with such a diverse group of guests, there would be awkward silences but Tony did a sterling job at getting people up on the dance floor and, once they started, they couldn’t stop. Quite a few of my friends commented that they forgot we were all hitting 60 and were dancing like young ‘uns. It says much for your music, though, that the real young ‘uns also joined in and it was a treat to see that younger Irish generation (because about 2/3 of the party were Irish) showing off their traditional dance skills to your music. Your song and tune selection was really excellent. Just the right balance, and lovely to have some songs which were favourites (Billy was completely made up with Carrickfergus) and others which were original compositions. Of course, the standard was – well – absolutely professional. It must be great to have such universal appeal. I can honestly say that your music hit the mark with both young and old; English and Irish – and even the small Greek contingent got up and learned a few dance moves! Your CD is being well-played on Corfu and in Athens now! I noticed a good few of the staff from the bar downstairs snuck in for a sneaky look too. You really made the evening for me and do, please, feel free to use this if you need a testimonial. Looking forward to seeing you soon at one of your gigs. With my very best wishes and thanks again. "Apologies that this thank you is long overdue, and that I didn't get much time on the day to say hi and thank you in person (it went so quick!!). I just wanted to say a massive thank you to you and the band for playing at our wedding at Thornton Manor Lakeside Marquee on 26 October. You were absolutely fantastic. The ceilidh was brilliant and the calling was a lot of fun! You kept everyone going and having a great time, despite the chaos of a bunch of English folk trying it out for the first time! I really appreciated you playing the first dance song - it meant a lot to me and sounded fantastic (even if it did have the grandparents in tears!). I will not hesitate to recommend you."

"We had such good feedback about your performance! Everyone that came had a great time and that's definitely down to the superb music and also the very well-explained and inclusive calling. I honestly would not have believed that the majority of people dancing were new to ceilidh dancing from watching them, they all took to it really fast. "Barn with us recently played at our wedding in our back garden and they were incredible! Everybody was up swinging each other around to Cotton Eye Joe and other great hits. Lilac and her band were perfect for such a mixed age group and we all had fun trying out line dancing, we would like to thank Sound With Us for making our day so fun and a day our guests are still talking about!"
