"Had Blu Country for our wedding band and they took care of music for the whole day, from ceremony right up to the end of the night and it was perfect. Such great song choices from beginning to end, and they pitched the mood exactly how I dreamed it. Thank you so much and hope to see you live again soon!"

"The Shooglers were great fun and had everyone on the dancefloor. We had a lot of comments about how they were much better than a traditional celidh band. They also interacted with the audience and really got the party going. "

"I just have to thank Black Velvet Band for the great job they did at my 70th birthday ceilidh in Bristol on 24th June. I had such a great time, and that was partly down to the three of them working hard, and giving us great music to dance to. I danced every dance and enjoyed it so much. When the caller was explaining how to reel I thought, "Uh oh, this'll be fun!" and it certainly was ... I haven't laughed so much in ages. So, well done everyone involved, and if we ever have another I'll be sure to contact you again."

"Quick note to say a massive thank you for Saturday night in Northleach. After a slow start - I think there was a mixture of nervousness and a warm evening outside! - everyone had a fantastic time. I've had so many people saying that it's either been ages since they went to a Ceilidh or had never ceilidh'd before and they loved it. Lots of people passing on thanks to you and the band too - excellent stuff as usual. The caller (who's name I didn't catch) has been singled out for her patience! Another Ceilidh is definitely on the cards, though perhaps this time in the winter - I don't think I've sweated that much for years!"

"I have seen this band perform many times over the years and find them consistantly very good. A good mixture of folk, Irish, humour and generally fun. They've always had the ability to make you want to get up and dance!"

"The Northern Reel Collective played at the evening reception for my wedding on 30/03/2018. They were brilliant, and my guests were singing their praises. Quite a few guests had not ceilidh danced before, but nearly everyone had a go and enjoyed themselves. The well-practised Scottish contingent also enjoyed the music and dancing. My seven-year-old cousins are still talking about the dancing and what fun they had. Even the groom's 90-year-old granny was able to dance one of the slower dances. Michael did the calling on the day, giving clear instructions for people to follow; he was also great to deal with in the booking process. I can’t recommend them highly enough! Thanks, guys!"

"The CC Band played for our Golden Wedding Party. It was a brilliant evening which we, and all our guests, thoroughly enjoyed. Ann, the caller, was excellent, especially at including the grandchildren in the dancing, which they loved! Well done - it was a memorable evening."

"Exactly what we wanted for our wedding! Excellent musicians throughout and great, clear direction/calling to help those of us that were complete beginners and those that were from Germany with limited English! Genuinely impressed with the pace they managed to keep until the very end... Both the band as well as the guests! Very professional and provided great communication from the moment we booked.
