"ust wanted to say thank you so much for the music, fun and sheer merriment you provided on Saturday. It was an absolutely cracking party, everyone had a blast and my parents loved every minute! Your music was perfect, you had everyone up singing and got everyone in the party spirit. Everyone has been passing on their thanks and regards, so just wanted to say thank you for making the party such a special and memorable occasion. We’ll all be there in force at The Water Poet in Spitalfield’s London next year on St Patrick’s Day, so we’ll be sure to come and say hello again! "I meant to e-mail last week and say you and your band are bloody awesome! That was a total American thing to say, but honestly I am not just saying that you guys are great! My husband loved it too – he loves Pink Floyd so when you were singing The Wall through the ceilidh music it was brilliant. I totally love ceilidhs they’re great fun, and the current music at the end was really good too! I took a few of your cards so will defo be recommending you!! "

"Great choice of material. Mat Walklate’s harmonica playing is astoundingly proficient throughout and Matt Fahey’s vocal take on My Bonny Boy Is Young is a stand out track. It gets my vote for album of the year."

"Hi Tad Thank you all so much for playing at our wedding reception. The music was fantastic (great to listen to outside as well as for those dancing). You were great at encouraging everyone to join in. We had a lot of reluctant dancers in the room who leapt in and had a great time, including both of our Dads and two teenage boys! Everyone felt that the moves were explained in a really accessible way for the many beginners! It was such a wonderful way to start married life. We'll definitely recommend you to anyone looking for a ceilidh band. Many thanks Elliot and Sarah"

"Thank you, guys, for finding time beforehand to rehearse with Amy, the bridegroom’s sister, who sang Elton John’s “Your Song” for the bride and groom’s 1st dance. It was beautiful and very special to have her sing their first song with accompaniment from the band. I think everyone was very moved by it (we are hoping someone filmed it but are not sure!). The dance floor was packed all evening for the ceilidh and we all had great fun - which was the intention. It was an amazing day, evening and whole weekend - we carried on the celebrations on Sunday! Thank you to Black Velvet Band for helping to make the wedding so memorable. "

"We can't thank Jean enough her playing such beautiful music and making our day even more special. Many of our guests commented on how amazing the music was and it really fitted perfectly with our wedding. We asked Jean to play a song that was not on her usual repertoire but she was enthusiastic about playing it and played it perfectly on the day. We would happily recommend Jean to others looking for a harpist for a special occasion. "

"The Annasach Ceilidh Band made the evening of our wedding in The Netherlands unforgettable, motivating Dutch and French feet alike to dance the Scottish steps. Even my 62-year-old aunt was on her feet all evening and remarked at the end that from now on, she only wants Scottish weddings. The band also dealt very professionally with some unforeseen circumstances, rebooking their own flights when their original flights were cancelled, taking a lot of stress away from us. I will happily recommend them for any wedding or party in Scotland or abroad, and look forward to visiting one of their Ceilidhs in Edinburgh when we next find ourselves there!"

"I shared my retirement party with Alison and agree with all of her positive comments. One friend said "I had a fantastic time and even managed with my two left feet to join in!" It was exactly what I wanted, an evening full of fun with everybody mingling and joining in together. I would highly recommend 'Blue Jewel' if you want a lively and energetic night. Anna"
