"This is the second time we have booked the Black Velvet Band for our summer ceilidh, and it was such fun! The band ran two different dancing sessions for our international students and were very patient with explaining the dances and encouraging all students to participate. The music was brilliant and energetic, and all three band members were so kind and even paused for a photoshoot with the students. We are looking forward to next summer already. I’d absolutely recommend them for any event/party/celebration!"

"Just a quick note to thank you for playing at the wedding of my daughter Emma and Nathaniel's wedding on the 29th December at the Old Swan Hotel. Iam sorry that I was unable to catch you on the evening and express my thanks as the ceilidh capped a wonderful day. For many of the guests this was their first experience of a ceilidh as we had guests from Australia, Japan, Switzerland and Canada. They/we loved it and you made the dance routines very clear with your instructions. Those that could no dance really the live music. Please pass on my gratitude to the other musicians. "We hired the band many months ago. The communication has been great. On the night they came and set up easily without needing extra help so the party could continue. The music was great and the calling made following the steps really easy. Every single party goer joined in. They did a great job. Now to find the next event to invite them to ...."

"We booked the Black Velvet Band Gypsy Duo (accordion and fiddle) to play at our wedding celebration garden party in August. Mike and Jase played exactly the music we wanted, a lovely mix of traditional, modern, jazz, Irish and were happy to play requests. We live on a farm and when the duo started up, all our cows came running up the field and stayed close to enjoy the lovely sounds coming from the garden. I have to say, the two were perfect for our garden party and the sound of the fiddle and accordion ringing out into the evening was absolutely lovely and was thoroughly enjoyed by our guests whose ages ranged from six to ninety! Mike and Jase are lovely, affable chaps and we should have no hesitation in booking them again if we have another “do”! I highly recommend them. "

"Funk With Us providing the band, DJ and PA for our wedding on the 9th October 2021. And they were absolutely amazing. In the lead up to the event, their diligence and patience in helping sort out some issues around sound levels at the venue went way above and beyond what we'd initially agreed with them. They friendly, highly personal service and wish to really understand what we wanted for the day meant we felt really positive and confident going into the day. On the day itself, they were amazing with the band being great fun, really getting involved and making sure the dance floor was both packed and super fun. We would absolutely recommended everytime, these guys are amazing. 12/10."
