"FOB gave a fantastic performance at our Cambridge college's Burns Night Ceilidh. The band sounded brilliant and the caller [Ollie Simons] was very clear. They were a pleasure to work with, and a joy to dance to; the students had a wonderful time. Can't recommend them highly enough!"

"I have personally known this band for more years than sometimes I want to remember. (I think about 25!). They have performed many times in all three establishments associated with my long career as a licensee. In addition, I have watched & listened to their music in numerous Castle Rock Pub outlets, in my capacity as director of said company. The band exhibit the kind of professional approach to their audience, no matter how big or small the venue, that would be an example to many other performers I have witnessed over the years. Playing with real passion, skill and flare, they embrace their audience into their world of Celtic music like no other. During their distinguished career, they have built up a seemingly endless repertoire of songs and tunes from their Celtic roots, and therefore every set played to faithful followers tends to be unique! All the members of this great band, both past and present, have become personal friends of mine and long may it continue. I have no hesitation in recommending Kellys Heroes to any establishment or agency."

"Thursday night was a blast. Couldn’t have gone any better! On Thursday the 25th of January, the Exeter Caledonian Society hosted a Burns Night Ball accompanied by the Black Velvet Band. The band was brilliant. Their musical prowess, stamina and all round musicianship was a joy to work with - and to listen to - making the night ever better. I am so thankful for what they did. The band is easy to work with, knowledgeable about timings and can cater to any requirements. "

"Thank you Blue Jewel! We had had a fantastic wedding day which culminated in a ceilidh, not everyone's choice of course - until they experience the Blue Jewel phenomenon! You had to be very determined to NOT dance to avoid this. Kip is a brilliant caller - patient and knowledgeable. On the odd occasion when everyone was too tired to dance the band just played on anyway, the music was simply delightful in its own right. We are very lucky to have such a talented band in the west country, I would not hesitate to use these guys again- if you have an event coming up book them before they become world famous and never play locally again! Cheers Steve and the band."

"Great choice of material. Mat Walklate’s harmonica playing is astoundingly proficient throughout and Matt Fahey’s vocal take on My Bonny Boy Is Young is a stand out track. It gets my vote for album of the year."

"Hello, I'm just writing to say that we thought you guy were amazing at our wedding at lower largo. you ticked every box, the kaylee music was superb, i had blisters on my feet the next day and we absolutely loved your disco you played all our favourites. I fully recommend to every newly engaged couple looking for a ceilidh party to get in touch with these guys."
