"Blue Jewel created a wonderful evening for our Golden Wedding party, which was enjoyed by all our family and friends. Everyone joined in the dancing and had such fun trying out new dances to the lovely music played by the band. We especially enjoyed the blessing dance which caused much hilarity and laughter. "Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio / Claire’s 60th Birthday / May 2025 Black Velvet Trio were absolutely perfect for the barn dance we hosted. The trio were cool, calm and professional in their ability to literally herd cats! They were able to bring a huge smile to every face which was always my wish. The musicians were brilliant at just playing wonderful barn dance music whilst we laughed and bumped and crashed about with our two and sometimes three left feet.Our last (came too quick) dance was the Swiss Roll. We all loved it and would be so happy to have Black Velvet Trio back to do it all again."

"Oh what a night it was! Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio was the perfect choice for a celebration. They chose dances that matched the skill and enthusiasm of my guests. Setting the right pace is good when lots of guests belong to a running club! Guests from Hong Kong, Greece, Vietnam China and USA had no idea what they were coming to … The band arrived on time, setting up easily and Phil’s friendly manner of instruction was just right. My 6 year old niece (who is VERY shy) shocked her mother by joining the dancing! Lovely comments from guests: “I haven’t danced like that in years” and ” The most fun and dis-organised chaos I’ve had in ages!”"

"Such a phenomenal band. Tailored the whole performance to our preferences. Got the whole room up and line dancing 4 times. Honestly made my 40th birthday party the best night that I will never forget. Everyone said how epic it was. Hope to use them again soon. Thank you Lilac and the band for making our night!"

"What a treat it was last night to have you playing for us. Your choice of music was delightful and, of course, so beautifully played. I hope you could feel the appreciation from our guests. The dancing went very well considering the large numbers of non-members attending; what they lacked in expertise, they more than made up for in enthusiasm. "We cannot thank The Nomads enough for making our wedding so special and I cannot emphasise enough how incredible they were. Everybody absolutely LOVED them & their set list covered so many of our requests. Their acoustic set was perfect as our guests arrived at the venue reception and milled around but the evening set stole the show and was absolutely exceptional. They surpassed every expectation and I think the fact that our guests were desperate for multiple encores says it all! These guys were friendly and professional and we would have absolutely zero hesitation recommending them to anyone! Thank you so so much. "
