Review Centre: Folk Groups

"Saturday night was just amazing at Bookmark Bloxwich Theatre, when Bloxwich Library Forum presented accomplished Country Music band KNOXVILLE HIGHWAY live on stage. And it says a lot about these guys that they filled the house with our first capacity audience (more than 150!) since opening after the 2009-10 refurbishment. A great night out was had by all, filled with toe-tapping and sing-along classics originally sung by the likes of of Hank Williams, Randy Travis, Alan Jackson, John Denver, Toby Keith, Johnny Cash, Tracy Byrd, Jim Reeves, The Eagles, Glen Campbell, Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers, Alison Krauss – plus a few surprises including the band’s own songs. Suffice to say that some of the words heard from the audience at the end of the show, included “Wow! Thanks for bringing them to Bloxwich!”, “Simply amazing”, “Thanks for a great night!” and “Bloody Brilliant!” "

"What a ceilidh and what a band! By far the best ceilidh we have ever experienced. Over half of the guests had never been to a ceilidh before, but the walk-throughs were incredibly clear and ensured that everyone picked up the steps really quickly. The band managed to get so many guests up and dancing that we had to expand the size of our dance-floor, twice! The ceilidh was the highlight of the evening. We received a large number of compliments from the guests about the quality of the music. We would thoroughly recommend It's No' Reel to anyone!"

"If you're looking for a sign to book these guys, this is is!!! Lilac, Remko and the band were absolutely fantastic!! We got married in America then had a party back home to celebrate with friends and family. We did an American themed party and Barn With Us exceeded all of our expectations. We also chose the line dancing caller add on, this got people up on the dance floor and was so much fun. My little girl got to sing a little of Jolene with Lilac and absolutely made her year! Thank you guys so, so much for a great day! Fern & Andy xXx"

So many people said what a great band you were and you were so good at calling the dances and keeping everyone right. It was also great fun doing some of the less well known dances. "We were really struggling to find a band for our wedding and kept being let down. As soon as we heard their clip, we knew they were going to be a great fit for our wedding but we never expected them to be as amazing as they were. We were beyond impressed with the band on the night and their interaction with the party. They had everyone dancing on the floor and Phoebe’s voice is out of this world. Every member of the band interacted and were all incredible. All of our guests have not stopped raving about them and we were constantly asked how they could hire them for their own events. We would 110% use Stargazers again and recommend them so highly for anyone who wants an incredible evening."

"Sounds with Us we’re absolutely phenomenal at our wedding! Everything was perfect, the lead up we had multiple chats and they got to know us, find out our music taste then the day was just brilliant. Lilac did a solo set which was wonderful and the band kept the dance floor going followed with Remko keeping the floor fillers with his awesome DJ skills. Would recommend them to anyone for any occasion! Thank you guys ?"
