"Many thanks to the Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio for a fantastic 21st Birthday Ceilidh. The band provided a perfect balance for the young and young-at-heart, catering for everyone from the super-lively, to wheelchair-friendly dances, which was a lovely touch. Everyone had a great time."

"The Craigie Ceilidh Band were absolutely fantastic and made our special day that little bit more special. It was wonderful to see so many people, both young and old, taking part and really enjoying themselves. "Well, we went along to the Clutha benefit gig in The Classic Grand, there were such a choice of great bands to choose from on 2 floors, The Mrs & myself were downstairs as it was mostly rock bands and we had a seat, so the bands changed again & again until I heard the next band was a Ceilidh band, quite a few were looking around sort of laughing as if how’s this gonna fit in with the night, so there's now quite a few people sitting down waiting, so on comes as expected the usual accordion,fiddle,drummer & guitarist set up, and then it began, the accordion started then in came the fiddle then this electric rock guitar and ass kicking rock drum beat, and low and behold before you know it everybody's on their feet standing poking their heads up and down to see who the hell was making this amazingly blended sound of rock & Scottish folk, the accordion player’s fingers were impossible to track as they rolled up and down the board, and the fiddle was just about glowing to match, topped off with a great guitar and drums, with bits of Pink Floyd through to Miley Cyrus flung in, hard to believe but true, and all served up for your ears to savour at 100 mph, the whole place became electric, it was amazing to listen to and stunning to watch, I can’t say enough how much we enjoyed this band, We got talking to David (the accordion player) and his family afterwards and found him such a laugh & such a nice family, highlight of the night, so thanks to The Shooglers your time & talent is very well spent and it shows, cheers. "

"The ladies were all extremely talented, each offering several instruments, needless to say we were very impressed. The music was a good combination of Ceilidh and contemporary, as we have requested, they did not disappoint. Thank you again for a successful evening."

"Just outstanding! Utterly professional from the first contact to the end of the wedding party, the Blue Jewel was a component that I really did not have to worry about and boy, did they deliver! The guests had a fabulous time; so much laughter and joy down to the littlest people! Great clear calling, never patronising, using our names and lots of lovely personal touches by Kip, who is a superb caller. The band showed great musicianship and were a complete asset. Lots of guests commented how good they were and what a great time they had at the Ceilidh. I recommend Blue Jewel without any reservation."

"Charlotte and I just wanted to say a big thank you to your band for Saturday night! They brought so much fun and energy to the party. Your accordion player was a brilliant addition to the 12 Days of Christmas song and it made the perfect transition from dinner into the reeling. It was the first time I've seen reeling before and it looked like so much fun, I wanted to join in! Please pass on our thanks to your team. I appreciate it was a difficult set up with the two rooms and only having speakers in one room, but they made it work really well, so thank you for being flexible. Hope you all have a great Christmas and I will definitely recommend you to future clients who would like reeling at their wedding or party"

"Blue Jewel played for the final evening of the International Conference for Research in Music Education, at Reed hall (Exeter University). Despite the very excitable and large group (100+) the band managed to get everyone dancing a lovely variety of simple dances including French and Russian ones. The balance of instruments worked really well in the space (not overpowering) and KIp, the caller. did a great job. "

"We had our wedding reception some months after the wedding to allow for school holidays. People had braved some horrible Friday travel to get there, it was very hot ..... and then ........ the band started! The kids stopped playing and all wanted to dance, people of all ages got up and everyone had a smile on their faces. Blue Jewel simply made our evening. Steve, deputising as caller was exceptional creating such a rapport, remembering names and full of gentle banter! Oh and soooo patient with us all. We had ages from 6 to 85 on the floor having fun. We can't really praise Blue Jewel enough - except to give our heartfelt thanks! Book Them NOW don't miss out!!!"

"Ben and the Shamrock Experience provided us with music for our wedding day and they proved to be the perfect wedding band. From the moment we booked, we were in contact, meaning we were confident with our wedding music throughout the whole planning process. Ben provided some beautiful music for the church which suited the occasion perfectly. Later in the evening the band provided a ceilidh that all of our wedding guests loved followed by some traditional Irish music which brought the house down (in a good way!) We couldn't recommend the Shamrock Experience enough, they truly made our day - thanks guys!"
