"A big thanks to Mike and the rest of the band for a brilliant evening. Everyone has said how much they thoroughly enjoyed it. A special thank you to Alan, the dance caller. He did a great job - quite a comedian! Finally a big thanks to the band for welcoming our fiddle-playing friend Richard into their ranks for the evening. He said he had a fantastic time. What a great party band the guys make! I'm very happy to recommend them to anyone having a bash. "

"Thank you for the beautiful music you played for my Mother's funeral. It was perfect and totally appropriate. It was so uplifting and although we were all sad it made the day a wonderful celebration of my Mother's life . If she were there she would have been dancing."

"The Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band came to an event we ran for our students. They were utterly fantastic! They ensured everyone was included, the caller engaged and instructed the audience, and they are great musicians! We have no hesitations in recommending this group. We will be inviting them back!"

"A “big thank you” to the band for a wonderful, memorable day that made our wedding day unforgettable! Everyone enjoyed the music and the dancing. Even the left footed miseries got up to have a go, driven by your music and the attitude of the band. Pete particularly loved “The Greenfields of France” and “The Tweed”. He’s been singing them for days, driving me crazy! We can’t think of any one else that would have made our day so wonderful, (except Rod Stewart in person for Sue!), so thank you once again. "Lisa did the music in the church for our wedding. I gave her a list of songs I wanted, some of them she didn't know but was willing to learn for our big day. She was very helpful at filling in the bits I had neglected and selected some beautiful pieces of music. Although the day is a bit of a blur to me, everyone still comments on how amazing the music was. She also sang our first dance with the band which was very special. I think the band would have kept her all night! I'd highly recommend her. "

"These guys were GREAT! They played at our wedding and were so professional from start to finish - good communication on the run up and provided us with all the info we needed. On the day, the sets they played for us were brilliant, everyone danced from start to finish and really enjoyed how they came into the crowd. Would definitely recommend !!!!"

" We hired the Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio for a party, and we could not have been happier with their performance. The band’s admin team reached out prior to the event to make arrangements, and communication was maintained throughout. Set up was quick and efficient in the background of our event, and before we knew it, we were forming lines for our first Ceilidh. It was a mixed group in terms of experience, but Phil delivered clear instructions prior to each dance, and everyone quickly picked it up. The trio are all exceptionally skilled musicians, and the music throughout the dancing was fantastic. We booked two hours of dancing and found that to be the perfect amount of time post-dinner. Black Velvet Band created a fun and lively atmosphere at our event and the Ceilidh dancing was enjoyed by all. We will definitely be in contact with the band for future events and would recommend them to all."
