"Just wanted to say that we thought you were all fantastic. The wedding had been such fun all day, followed by wonderful food, and you certainly kept up the high energy feel. The fact that so many people were up to dance, most of whom had never been to a Ceilidh before, was testimony to your good music and the lively but relaxed and welcoming atmosphere you created. So thanks again and we hope you enjoyed it too. You were even better than we hoped you would be!"

"The band was fantastic to work with, very helpful in the run up to the wedding with sending us pre recordings of our first dance song and organising the songs to be played on the night with us. They were also very flexible about having part ceilidh and part covers during the evening which was perfect! Lilac’s voice is incredible! The ceilidh went very well and all the guests enjoyed themselves swinging each other around! Very friendly and professional team - would definitely highly recommend to others!"

"I can not recommend The New Fox Band enough. They had everyone dancing (from kids to our generation at end twenties to our parents) within 1 minute at our wedding and it was a fantastic atmosphere. They were brilliant at explaining the dances to the novices (incuding all the guests from outside the UK who'd never danced a Ceilidh before) so that all our guests had a really fun time. Communication was fantastic and they were really flexible with setting up and sound checking to fit in with the rest of the evening."

"Delightful Sottish jigs and reels from Sue and Mike combined excellent calling from Henry had everyone on the dance floor, reeling into the small hours. We shall be booking the band again next year. "

"You guys were quite simply superb. You were everything we could have wanted from a ceilidh band and more. Even now (months after the wedding) people are still raving about how great you were. Every single person got up dancing at some point and loved every moment. There are even people that have never been to one that are now having one at the their wedding next year (keep an eye out for the email from them!). Even the Scottish side of my family agree that you are the best band they have seen. You pitched the night perfectly so that the experienced dancers and the novices all really enjoyed themselves. The photos from that section of the night are full of people laughing and having fun and that is purely down to you. Without you the evening party would have been nowhere near as fun or memorable and we were all gutted when you had to finish. From a personal perspective you were so friendly and quick to respond from my first enquiry and were so accommodating to the little things that we wanted. You made everything so easy and didn't need to call anyone on the day. The biggest thing for me though is that you are young and have a great blend of modern thinking and respect of tradition. Some of the other bands i contacted were so stuffy and rigid in their approach which made choosing you so easy. Overall you made our wedding and will be a treasured memory for the rest of our lives."

"Hi Fiddlestix, Just a quick note to say thank you very much for the fabulous performances and ceilidh yesterday. The music was hugely complimented by our guests, and we had a wonderful time. Thanks to Mary’s great calling everyone got into the swing of it so readily - even the ceilidh novices! John’s mum Jill wanted to pass on her feedback too: “the music was highly impressive and the caller was top quality - we very much enjoyed the ceilidh”. "Oh what a night it was! Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio was the perfect choice for a celebration. They chose dances that matched the skill and enthusiasm of my guests. Setting the right pace is good when lots of guests belong to a running club! Guests from Hong Kong, Greece, Vietnam China and USA had no idea what they were coming to … The band arrived on time, setting up easily and Phil’s friendly manner of instruction was just right. My 6 year old niece (who is VERY shy) shocked her mother by joining the dancing! Lovely comments from guests: “I haven’t danced like that in years” and ” The most fun and dis-organised chaos I’ve had in ages!”"

"We just wanted to say thank you to all the members of the band for playing at our wedding on 24/7/21. You were all so kind and friendly, and played such wonderful music throughout the evening. You were the perfect band for our laid-back, happy summer wedding and it was a pleasure to be able to sit down and listen to your songs. Both us and our guests really enjoyed being able to chill out and soak up the atmosphere with some great music being played. It was really nice to meet you and have a chat whilst we were having our fish and chips too. You were all so professional, and we really appreciated you coming to play at our wedding."
