"From the minute they tuned up with ‘oh What a Night’ we could tell the Absolute band were going to be brilliant. We had booked them last minute after someone had cancelled. We couldn’t believe our luck that they were free - someone else’s loss was our gain! We booked the six piece option with fiddle and they exceeded all of our hopes and expectations. Musically fantastic, lovely guys and a brilliant playlist. We got to have input from their vast repertoire, but then handed it over to them to put it all together and take charge. The dance floor was packed all night and they absolutely MADE our party. Look no further than this band - they are fantastic. "We booked Jen to play the violin during our wedding ceremony and reception drinks. Jen was very courteous on the day and flexible with our schedule when things ran behind. Jen had a large set list, which we could pick our favourites from and also allowed us to choose any 3 songs for the ceremony which she learnt and played perfectly. Jen was very professional, friendly and organised throughout the planning process and on the day, we couldn't have asked for more! The atmosphere Jen created for our special day was perfect and our guests loved everything too!"

"A few friends and I went to see G Celtic Folk Rock Band in Pontefract on Friday. What a fantastic talented bunch of musicians these guys are. They delivered punchy folk rock songs, which are mostly their own with a few individual interpretations of some classics throughout the night. Brilliant stuff and highly entertaining. A great venue too, and cannot wait for them to return."

"We hired the Captain's Beard last year and they got the whole boatload of us up and on our feet jigging our hearts out. You'll be surprised how many nautical ballads you know the words to once they get into full swing. Why are the Captain's Beard so great? Because they arrrRRRRRR! "

"A ceilidh was the perfect way to kick off the evening festivities at our wedding. We loved seeing guests of all ages getting involved, having a laugh, getting it right and wrong but always with enthusiasm! Our caller Adam was so energetic and lots of guests commented on how good he was. We had such fun and would recommend the excellent band for a memorable experience"

"I can not recommend The New Fox Band enough. They had everyone dancing (from kids to our generation at end twenties to our parents) within 1 minute at our wedding and it was a fantastic atmosphere. They were brilliant at explaining the dances to the novices (incuding all the guests from outside the UK who'd never danced a Ceilidh before) so that all our guests had a really fun time. Communication was fantastic and they were really flexible with setting up and sound checking to fit in with the rest of the evening."

"Dermot played yesterday at the funeral of my mother-in-law, who was an Irish historian, and was sensational. Sensitive, thoughtful, joyful and deeply moving. It was, as they say, exactly what she would have wanted, and was greatly appreciated by everyone there. Thank you!"

"Huw was amazing from start to finish, very punctual and very polite and friendly. All our guests commented on what a brilliant singer he was and he created the perfect atmosphere for our wedding, very chilled and laid back. We couldnt have been happier! Would definitely recommend Huw to anyone. A huge thank you to Huw for making our special day complete."

"Luisa was great; just what our event needed. Luisa had a wonderful repertoire - also including an impromptu rendition of "Happy Birthday" for one of our guests. I know that everyone thoroughly enjoyed the surprise of seeing Luisa and her harp when they walked into the room and listening to the lovely music she played. Thank you so much."

"Everybody loved the music and everyone had so much fun having a go at the dances – everyone was pleasantly surprised as some people had no idea what to expect! I hope you enjoyed playing and hope you managed to have some food and drinks! Anyway, thanks again – you guys were great and so much fun – we are even considering having another party next year as everyone loved it so much!"
