"Having Absolute Band topped off our perfect day. I don't think we really got any photos as everyone was dancing from the moment they came on. In fact, I think people were even dancing to their sound check! Communication was great throughout the booking process and we liked that you could choose to add certain musicians so we included a fiddler as we wanted some Irish classics too. The band played two brilliant sets and before we knew it, the night was over. Exactly how we wanted our wedding to end, with everyone wanting more! "We have almost calmed down from last Saturday`s barn dance, celebrating my wife`s 70 th birthday. We could not have made a better choice than ODDSOX - such professional musicians who entered into the spirit and theme of the barn dance with their added props and dress. Just watching them setting up at the start, it was clear that we were in for a good night and we were not disappointed. The calling was just right and the range of instruments was fantastic. Ours was a memorable night of fun, thanks to ODDSOX. The evening passed so fast, which is testimony to the band`s quality. Please pass on our thanks to the members of the band"

The ceilidh/disco combination suited everybody, and we were delighted that you were able to persuade so many people to join in. "Blue Jewel Ceilidh band were absolutely amazing at our wedding, I cannot rate them highly enough. They were so understanding about us running slightly behind schedule. The music was incredible and got everyone dancing. Kip was also a great caller - really easy instructions to follow and very funny. I even asked for a Welsh tune to be played and one band member actually composed one himself and performed it on the day. I'm unbelievably impressed with this band, and if you're thinking about booking, I'd highly recommend."

"We have booked Black Velvet Band for our Wedding in Devon on 20th May. We were delighted to find out from Jennie that they were playing at The Water Poet in Spitalfields on St Patricks Night. Being from London, this was perfect. We arrived to a heaving pub with great Irish tunes belting out the door. The pub was packed and everyone was Irish on Friday. Black Velvet Irish Band played everything from The Wild Rover to some traditional reels and jigs. The were excellent and we cannot wait to have them play on our special day. We met with the lads after who were all so friendly and welcoming. I’ve been in a quite a few pubs on St Patrick’s Day but I’ve never experienced an atmosphere like that. The crowd were singing and dancing, Black Velvet your were fantastic, we cant wait to see you guys on 20th May 2017. Niamh Ivey"

"Oh, what a night I had to remember on Saturday. (11.9.2021) Sound with Us came to do a Ceilidh for my big birthday bash and provided a disco for afterwards. They were just out of this world and had everybody up dancing or jigging along in their seats. Their sound quality and musicianship were first class and the caller, who had the biggest task keeping everyone in check, did a magnificent job. My guests were in fits of laughter and he was so patient with us and eventually managed to guide most of us through our paces. I’ve had so many messages since, asking where I had hired such a good band from. Sincere thanks to all the band Fran xxxxx"
