"Funk With Us are absolutely phenomenal. Obviously I am biased but they are honestly the best wedding band I’ve ever seen perform. All of our guests have since commented that our band were fantastic and I couldn’t recommend more highly! Lilac and Remko are so easy to talk to and couldn’t have been more accommodating. Such a talented bunch!"

"We had a ceilidh for a volunteer celebration. Even before the event Lilac was super helpful with suggestions of what timings would work well and how to encourage people to get involved. The band arrived in good time to set up and we’re really friendly. They were flexible on the night without us needing to intervene and got people dancing again after a break for speeches. The band also included those with less mobility and were great and encouraging everyone to get involved. We had the majority of people dancing throughout the event. I would totally recommend."

"We asked Michael to organise a Johnny Cash tribute band for our dad. He brought the band in and they were brilliant. Michael was so accommodation and gave us just what we needed. Recommended."

"We cannot honestly thank you two enough for the beautiful performances on saturday and Sunday. You read the mood perfectly and sang towards it. It was your beautiful music and voices which really set the romantic mood of our wedding and it was truly an experience we will never ever forget. I don't think I'll ever be able to listen to "two young lovers" again without my eyes brimming with emotion!! Thank you so so much! You are a wonderful couple and we will never forget you! "Please pass on my thanks and huge congratulations to the Black Velvet Band for making the evening one to remember! The members of the band were very friendly and excellent at leading the crowds all of various ages! It was a night to remember for all the right reasons and I have not smiled so much since my wedding day! The Swiss roll formation is genius and the children (and adults) are still wondering how it worked! We will most definitely be booking them again!"

"Thanks to the band for the entertainment provided at our fundraising ceilidh at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange. With Mike's dance-calling all dancers were able to perform even the more complex ones with no major disasters on the floor! Thanks to Phil for being so adaptable with the various events we had, and to all the band for making it a great night."

"Black Velvet Band provided a five piece ceilidh band and caller for the finale of the Hawkins’ team building event. We thought the room would be too big – but we were wrong! The band brought an absolute gem of a caller, who read the crowd perfectly and the dance floor was full throughout the evening. We could have done with a larger space! The band was superb and the event was enjoyed by all concerned. I thoroughly recommend the band."

"Hired The Shooglers for our wedding, a mixture of an idea and blind faith, as the big day approached our anxiety increased we needn't have worried, they were excellent the dance floor was filled all night everyone had a ball,(and the free dance lessons were excellent too guys), this morning we've had texts and phone calls from loads of people all commenting on what a great night it was; brilliant. "
