"Had our annual undergraduate ball at The Balmoral last week. Was a great night and that was in large part down to The Northern Reel Collective's awesome performance. The ceilidh was undoubtedly the highlight of the night. Would highly recommend them to anyone else running an event. Quite simply, a fantastic ceilidh band!"

"What a superb band for our wedding party - the guys were lovely, really friendly and helpful and got everyone involved and having the time of their lives! A ceilidh is such fun and a great way to ensure *all* your guests are involved in the celebrations - there were smiles on the faces of everyone dancing, and everyone watching! I cannot recommend this highly enough - absolutely delightful, highly professional, and a total pleasure to work with to make sure we had an unforgettable evening"

"This is the second time we have booked the Black Velvet Band for our summer ceilidh, and it was such fun! The band ran two different dancing sessions for our international students and were very patient with explaining the dances and encouraging all students to participate. The music was brilliant and energetic, and all three band members were so kind and even paused for a photoshoot with the students. We are looking forward to next summer already. I’d absolutely recommend them for any event/party/celebration!"

"This is the 3rd year running that we've been lucky enough to have the Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band play for our charity's annual barn dance. I cannot rate them highly enough - from great communication before the event to fabulous music on the day, they are first class. We're already looking forward to our 4th one next year!"

"Blue jewel was the crowning jewel in an absolutely fantastic wedding weekend. All our guests absolutely loved the upbeat and joyous music (particularly the Israeli dance) and got involved in the fun. We had a brilliant time and made some incredible memories!"

"We booked Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio for a Birthday Party with a mixed age group of family and friends. They were great with a special mention to Jennie (the caller) who really worked hard getting us to do the different dances. Everyone really enjoyed the dances and had a lot of fun! I mustn’t forget Jon and Mike who provided the music. I can’t say enough good things about them – just to say that if you book them you will have a great time!"

"Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio – Katherine’s 50th Birthday Ceilidh – April 2025 I booked Black Velvet Ceilidh Trio for my wife’s 50th Birthday barn dance. The booking process and communication was great. On the night, from the off, everyone was up dancing. The instructions were great and they really got us all into the spirit. "Harpist Encanta played beautifully during the drinks reception on our Wedding Day. We first saw her at an Open Day at our venue and we fell in love ! She was a pleasure to speak with during our booking process and she played all our requested songs. If you’re looking for a talented harpist, look no further ! "
