Review Centre: Celtic Groups & Ceilidh Bands

"My family have been following this band for over 20 years now. From the toe tapping faster tunes to the haunting ballads, I cannot rate this band highly enough. Everyone in the audience appears to be having a fantastic night with many people dancing. The band are very professional and friendly and seem to attract an audience that follows them all over the country year after year. Recently, they very kindly played for my mother in her own home ,when she was terminally ill. It proved a very memorable and moving day for her friends and family. I will always be grateful to them for this. My rating for this band is 100 out of 10!!!"

"I can’t express enough how happy we are that we choose this band. They made my mums surprise 60th birthday party a night to remember! They were extremely professional & listened to our requests prior to the event & excelled our expectations on the night. We gave them a playlist of my mums favourite songs to incorporate in the night & they put their own twist on the songs so they fit perfectly with the party theme. The whole room which was a mixture of ages was up & dancing & they created an amazing atmosphere. They are so versatile and extremely talented that I would definitely use them again for any future event. All the guests raved about them and said what a wonderful night they had. "You made our wedding reception utterly wonderful and so many of our guests have said how much they enjoyed the evening and the music. My 93 year old grandmother refused to leave until the end and her feet were tapping all evening....she even joined in the last dance and that has to be credit to you. One table of guests had never been to a ceilidh before and said how much fun it was. "

"I meant to e-mail last week and say you and your band are bloody awesome! That was a total American thing to say, but honestly I am not just saying that you guys are great! My husband loved it too – he loves Pink Floyd so when you were singing The Wall through the ceilidh music it was brilliant. "Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio – International Student’s Ceilidh – July 2025 This is the second time we have booked the Black Velvet Band for our summer ceilidh, and it was such fun! The band ran two different dancing sessions for our international students and were very patient with explaining the dances and encouraging all students to participate. The music was brilliant and energetic, and all three band members were so kind and even paused for a photoshoot with the students. We are looking forward to next summer already. I’d absolutely recommend them for any event/party/celebration!"

"Lisa did the music in the church for our wedding. I gave her a list of songs I wanted, some of them she didn't know but was willing to learn for our big day. She was very helpful at filling in the bits I had neglected and selected some beautiful pieces of music. Although the day is a bit of a blur to me, everyone still comments on how amazing the music was. She also sang our first dance with the band which was very special. I think the band would have kept her all night! I'd highly recommend her. "

"Rejigged at my 30th birthday party Thank you so much to Rejigged band who absolutely made our birthday party come to life - everyone left with beaming smiles on their faces. The caller had great energy and encouraged us all out onto the dance floor with good humour, even the shy ones got up and danced! The band were really organised and communicated well before the event. We had such fun stomping around the hall that we actually damaged the ceiling of the room below! Great range of tunes and dances, very jolly all round. Would recommend! Florence 14th March 2020 Chichester Hall Sandgate. "
