"We loved having Jamie play at our wedding reception - it was a very last minute booking due to Covid meaning some of our plans had to change, so we were lucky to get him and he was very accommodating and gracious. He has an amazing voice, excellent repertoire of songs and brought good vibes all round. He even stayed chilled when some of our over enthusiastic guests took the mic to sing their own songs (which must be quite annoying for musicians but he handled it really well and the night went off without a glitch!) Thanks Jamie, and for anyone else looking for the perfect musician don’t hesitate to book him!"

We had lots of first time ceilidh-ers who were sceptical before it began and they kept telling me how much fun they were having! This really was the most fun evening. Great energy and enthusiasm . "I cannot thank you enough for you and your band at my mums birthday party, it really was the best night we have had in ages. The effort by all of you far exceeded any expectation I had, never lone anyone else in the room. You didn’t just provide a band for the night, you all provided the entertainment, fun factor, the laughing (the workout!) and provided exactly and way more then I ever expected. The music was wonderful, jolly, filled gaps , catered to everyone’s ears from ages 2 - 80+ years! You made it easy to follow the dance steps and fun for absolutely everyone, whether they were dancing or just listening to the music. I absolutely wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to anyone or use you all again in a heartbeat. So thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you for providing one element that made the whole night. "Davie, I just wanted to contact you to say, ‘thank you VERY much, indeed’ to you and your band members for performing last Friday evening at the annual Grange Dyvours Tennis Club ‘Snow Ball’ and making it the tremendous success that it was. I have been to many weddings, ceilidhs and parties over the years and danced to many bands and I can tell you, without a shadow of a doubt, that ‘The Big Shoogle’ stands head and shoulders above the rest. Who would have thought that weaving in Pink Floyd and Deep Purple tracks in the middle of a Dashing White Sergeant would have worked but it did! You were an absolute pleasure to deal with, before our event; you all drove a considerable distance to arrive, at exactly the time requested, to set up all your equipment then, after our dinner, you returned to put on the most amazing performance. Some of our (non-Scottish) members had never danced some of the dances before but you made sure to talk everyone through what was expected, as a warm up, before the mayhem began. My face was sore laughing, at the end of some of those dances. Just brilliant. Our ‘Snow Ball’ on Friday evening was an astounding success and we have you to thank for that. Absolutely first class. P.s. Also, thanks for taking our booking for our ball, next Christmas. I wanted to get in quick to secure you as I know how much in demand you are! "

"I would just like to thank you for the wonderful performance on Sat night at my Daughter’s naming ceremony. We all had a great time, and everybody commented on how great the band was. I never laughed or enjoyed a dance so much and would like to have another party, just to have you play again. We’ve worked on a few projects together - most recently the album project 80’s Symphonic, where I hired her as concertmaster. In my over 50 plus years in the business, you can imagine that I have seen countless individuals in this position. Lara brought such skill and confidence to implementing her duties that the entire string section accepted her as one of the family!"

"What a fantastic band! Blue Jewel played at Paul's 50th birthday party in February 2016 and were a complete hit. Thank you so much! The booking process was really easy with Steve answering all the questions we had before the evening. The dances were varied and all great fun. All four members of the band were a pleasure to have with us. There was so much laughter! If we book a ceilidh again (and I think given the success of this we will) we will certainly ask Blue Jewel to play."
