"Just wanted to thank the Black Velvet Band for a really great evening last Saturday. They were excellent musicians and the caller was superb (very patient with the Danish contingent who took some time to get the hang of the instructions!) What I particularly appreciate is how considerate and adaptable the band was regarding my wishes. I had lovely time and have had a lot of positive comments from my guests."

"Fruin played the background music to our wedding ceremony, and everyone commented on how lovely the music was. They selected a lovely piece of music as the bride walked down the aisle, and played our request of Highland Cathedral during the signing of the register. Mark was really efficient in his communications and made the whole process as simple as it could be."

"We just wanted to say a big thank you for playing at our wedding…You were great and lots of people have said how much they enjoyed the ceilidh, including us! It was brilliant to see the dance floor full all night, and it looked like everyone was having lots of fun, which is just what we had hoped for! "The band was brilliant. Could not recommend enough. the choice of music, the energy they brought to the event was great. Very easy to work with, and very professional. Sound quality was great, even though the venue was quite small with hard surfaces, and the band did their homework about setting up and worked with us. A excellent choice, and would defo use them again. "

"I am sure you will be pleased to hear that we raised just over £4000 this year and were able to send cheques for £2000 each to both the Air Ambulance and Shipston Home Nursing. A good result.We have now also decided on next year’s date and really hope you will be able to play for us again. It is Saturday 7th April 2018. It really makes a difference having you there."

"We hired John and his band as a quintet for our wedding and what a wonderful choice. The guys travelled to the New Forest for us for our big day. Superb sound and multi talented. They provided a substantive song list to choose from plus a couple of extra requests. They had everyone up and rocking. Wonderful Irish sound and a memorable singalong to ‘Dirty Old Town’ to more modern music. On top of that lovely guys with a warm personality who really looked like they enjoyed performing. Recommended for any event. Many thanks for helping our day memorable. Paul and Jo"
