"Everyone had a fabulous time at the Ceilidh on Friday night. Most people were beginners at the event but Sarah, the caller, got everyone dancing away. She was very clear, so everyone knew exactly what they should be doing and there weren't too many toes stepped on! It was great fun and the musicians were professional and sounded great. We all had a lovely time dancing and listening to the band. Vikki"

"Absolute played at our Wedding Ball on the 10th July 2021 and were fabulous. Coming out of the Covid restrictions they were just what the doctor ordered. So professional, great musicality, brilliant fiddle playing and fantastic voices. 'THEY WERE EPIC' and made our day just that little bit more special. "We have booked Black Velvet Band for our Wedding in Devon on 20th May. We were delighted to find out from Jennie that they were playing at The Water Poet in Spitalfields on St Patricks Night. Being from London, this was perfect. We arrived to a heaving pub with great Irish tunes belting out the door. The pub was packed and everyone was Irish on Friday. Black Velvet Irish Band played everything from The Wild Rover to some traditional reels and jigs. The were excellent and we cannot wait to have them play on our special day. We met with the lads after who were all so friendly and welcoming. I’ve been in a quite a few pubs on St Patrick’s Day but I’ve never experienced an atmosphere like that. The crowd were singing and dancing, Black Velvet your were fantastic, we cant wait to see you guys on 20th May 2017. Niamh Ivey"

"Funk With Us played at our wedding this weekend and they were absolutely FANTASTIC! High energy, super helpful and just a pleasure to work with, we cannot recommend them highly enough! Lilac and Remko both spoke with us in advance to get to know us a little better and find out more about the type of music we were interested in. Lilac gave us a call in the lead up, was available via whatsapp and was just generally super helpful. On the night of our wedding the dance floor was always filled with everyone singing and dancing along and having a really great time! So, so, so pleased we booked Funk With Us, thanks for making our wedding evening so awesome! Thanks Lilac, Remko and the rest of the band!"

"OMG wow Jamie is AMAZING and I am not just saying that, he really is amazing. Lovely guy, really chilled out. Fun, lively atmosphere, exactly what I wanted. All my guests said how good Jamie was, everyone was up dancing. Spoke with Jamie a week before to finalise details. Highly recommend Jamie, you will not be disappointed."

"Having Absolute Band topped off our perfect day. I don't think we really got any photos as everyone was dancing from the moment they came on. In fact, I think people were even dancing to their sound check! Communication was great throughout the booking process and we liked that you could choose to add certain musicians so we included a fiddler as we wanted some Irish classics too. The band played two brilliant sets and before we knew it, the night was over. Exactly how we wanted our wedding to end, with everyone wanting more! "My legs are still aching because I danced so much! The band arrived on time and were very friendly and helpful and the music was delightful. It was a mixed crowd, many of whom had never met each other before but with one thing in common – they had never done ceilidh dancing before! The caller was absolutely brilliant – it didn’t matter that most people had no idea how to dance the reels! Everyone joined in and thoroughly enjoyed themselves."

"The Shamrock experience were truly brilliant. A really fun, friendly and energetic band who came to play for my family and friends at my 21st. Their playing was fantastic, running a ceilidh which was really enjoyed by everyone. It was the perfect band for the occasion and I highly recommend them."

"These guys did all the music at Douglas and Helen’s wedding on Saturday - any band who can convincingly slip a Pink Floyd cover into a round of the dashing white sergeant definitely get my vote - please check them out folks! "
