"Heard 'The Shooglers' play at a fantastic wedding I was photographing, well I was so desperate to join in the dancing - truly fantastic music ;-) I love the one you did with the mix of Pink Floyd - Another Brick in the Wall - was amazing, tapping my foot and itching to dance - best music at a wedding I’ve ever heard !!!!"

"We booked Ceilidh With Us for our wedding and we were so happy with them! Lilac, the band manager, was great with communication in the run-up to the wedding - very responsive and understood what we were looking for. The band on the day were fantastic and all our guest had an amazing time! Many of them particularly commented on how impressed they were with our caller Nell who did an awesome job in teaching all the dances to such a big crowd of us :)"

"Absolute brought their acoustic roaming band to play our wedding reception at Cain Manor and did not disappoint. They created an amazing atmosphere outside before and after the ceremony. They also played my wife walking down the aisle which really added to the emotion. I'm sure they would also make an awesome evening band now dancing is allowed again! "The absolute best group you could ever have at your wedding. Lilac and Remko are musical masterminds and they helped our wedding be the biggest party in town. You have to book them! Lilac and Remko rock! Absolutely one of the highlights of our day was seeing a kick-ass 8 piece get the whole room dancing to our Motown-inspired playlist. They helped with curation to ensure we picked the right floor-fillers and chucked in a couple of modern classics and a vocal cameo from one of our guests in, too. We really can't recommend them enough. Everything was smooth and our day was honestly even better because of them."

"BEST BAND EVER!! Lilac and her 6pc funk band played at our wedding in Summer 2021, and Rem DJ'd. Both sets were absolutely fantastic! In the build up to the wedding, Lilac and Rem were incredibly helpful in guiding us through our playlist, identifying crowd pleasers and song collections which worked incredibly well together. They were both full of ideas and suggestions and left no stone unturned in their preparations! Planning our evening set with them was a real giggle! They were very clear in outlining their requirements on the day, and recommending what timings would work well. They were also incredibly understanding, cooperative, and willing to be flexible as we waited to plan our wedding around COVID. On the day, Lilac and the team were full of energy and this reverberated around the room, creating a truly special atmosphere! Lilac has an amazing, soulful voice and so much stage presence! The saxophonist was also outstanding!! They kept the dance floor filled all evening and full of noise as we all sang along. Lilac and the team's set was incredible, and they kept going beyond the two 45 min slots to all of our delight! Rem's DJ set to conclude the evening was incredible! He struck a really great balance between old school classics and more modern, higher tempo tunes. We'll remember excitedly dancing along to Avici and Craig David, and finishing off with a sing along to Wonderwall, Sweet Caroline and Angels, with all our best friends surrounding us, for the rest of our lives! Thank you so much for a massive contribution towards making our wedding the best day of our lives!"

"Each year our section hold a rally. Each year we visit a different location alternating between the UK and Europe. It was my turn to organise a weeks rally in the UK, and I chose the Two Bridges Hotel near Princetown as our base. We needed some form of entertainment for our Gala Night. Our group are in the in main middle fifties and some over eighty so the last thing we need was a rock group. I had some opposition when I suggested a Folk group but I prevailed and have to say that tracking down a band was in the area was extremely difficult. Typing a search in Google for local folk groups resulted in names almost everywhere except in the West Country. Eventually I contacted Blue Jewel and Steve convinced me that they could adapt to our needs. Every single person enjoyed the groups performance, there were 62 people there and almost every single one said how much they enjoyed the group. As the organiser I was greatly impressed by the way they accommodated our requirements and we had a brilliant night. Thank you Blue Jewel Chris. "Davie, At last I am getting a minute to thank you and the guys for an excellent evening playing at our Silver Wedding at Meldrum House. The music was fabulous, everything we expected and more! All our guests have been telling us how much they enjoyed the band, even those not energetic enough to dance say that they very much enjoyed listening to you play. We were well and truly shoogled and I know I wasn’t the only one with aching muscles the next day! Great fun, thanks for helping to make our special occasion a huge success, we all had a fantastic time. The only complaint we had was that the party finished too soon!"

"A general consensus put your slot at the top of the list for the w/e, closely followed, I must add, by the hog! Thank you so much for making us all smile – everyone loved the music and commented on the brilliant “calling” – a bright lady! I have given your name to several folk, but I wasn’t able to tell them how far you travel for a gig, as many of our friends live in the Bristol area. Thanks again for helping to make our 60th birthday party so memorable."
