"Just a quick note to thank you for playing at the wedding of my daughter Emma and Nathaniel's wedding on the 29th December at the Old Swan Hotel. Iam sorry that I was unable to catch you on the evening and express my thanks as the ceilidh capped a wonderful day. For many of the guests this was their first experience of a ceilidh as we had guests from Australia, Japan, Switzerland and Canada. They/we loved it and you made the dance routines very clear with your instructions. Those that could no dance really the live music. Please pass on my gratitude to the other musicians. "We hired John and his band as a quintet for our wedding and what a wonderful choice. The guys travelled to the New Forest for us for our big day. Superb sound and multi talented. They provided a substantive song list to choose from plus a couple of extra requests. They had everyone up and rocking. Wonderful Irish sound and a memorable singalong to ‘Dirty Old Town’ to more modern music. On top of that lovely guys with a warm personality who really looked like they enjoyed performing. Recommended for any event. Many thanks for helping our day memorable. Paul and Jo"

"Oh, what a night I had to remember on Saturday. (11.9.2021) Sound with Us came to do a Ceilidh for my big birthday bash and provided a disco for afterwards. They were just out of this world and had everybody up dancing or jigging along in their seats. Their sound quality and musicianship were first class and the caller, who had the biggest task keeping everyone in check, did a magnificent job. My guests were in fits of laughter and he was so patient with us and eventually managed to guide most of us through our paces. I’ve had so many messages since, asking where I had hired such a good band from. Sincere thanks to all the band Fran xxxxx"

"Céilí Max are an incredibly talented group of musicians. Their technical skill was clear from the moment they opened our party, but along with that came a vibrant and personal approach to entertaining the room. All of our guests were up on the floor dancing and they truly made the night!"

"So many people have commented on how much they enjoyed the music... I'm sure that people were dancing because they couldn't resist your fiddle playing. Also it was delightful to be able to talk between dances, yet also listen to and enjoy your harp playing. Your contribution to the success of our day is immeasurable. You are a delightful musician and charming too!"

"The Blue Jewel Ceilidh band were fantastic and really made our event. They got everyone up dancing and dealt with with a large group of people. Somehow they got us all dancing in formation and getting most of the steps correct! This was a fund raising event for us so it was important to have a value for money band and to run an event that people enjoyed and would remember. Blue Jewel certainly achieved this. The feedback from guests was that they had a fantastic time and would attend a similar event next year. The fact several of our guests asked for Blue Jewel's contact details also speaks of how popular they were. Thank you again for helping us run such a successful and enjoyable event."

"Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio – Viv’s 50th Birthday Ceilidh – January 2025 We had an amazing evening. Dan, Ned and Heather were brilliant. Firstly Dan was incredibly helpful and reassuring when I spoke to him a few weeks in advance. He was very relaxed but also incredibly reassuring that it would be fun and go well! He was very warm and I felt ‘everything would be alright’! They came very promptly and set up very unobtrusively. The music was perfect and Ned was a fantastic caller. He drew people in so well and had a very relaxed manner, he made it very enjoyable. Dan on the guitar and Heather on the fiddle were excellent! We had a fantastic evening of dancing with them. So many of our guests commented on how they made it such fun. They made it a great success. I highly recommend them."
