"The Shooglers played at our wedding in May and they were great! They were brilliant at calling the ceilidh dances and Davie (the caller) certainly has the gift of the gab! He encouraged everyone to get up and dance and had people laughing in the process with lines like, 'the next dance is a prize dance... Prise yourselves off your seats and get up to dance!' All our guests commented on how good the band was and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them - a great find! "

"Amazing band! if you want a band to guest your guest on the dance floor and not leave it, then book these guys! really flexible and kept in constant communication with me in the lead up to our xmas party. would highly recommend to book!"

"The band was fantastic to work with, very helpful in the run up to the wedding with sending us pre recordings of our first dance song and organising the songs to be played on the night with us. They were also very flexible about having part ceilidh and part covers during the evening which was perfect! Lilac’s voice is incredible! The ceilidh went very well and all the guests enjoyed themselves swinging each other around! Very friendly and professional team - would definitely highly recommend to others!"

"Mike and his band played for Martin’s 60th birthday barn dance. They made it a very special night full of lovely memories. Alan was a fab caller. Navigated us through the dances with humour and laughter. Alan was extremely helpful and empathetic towards one of our guests who is blind and called dances that she could join in without making it obvious to lots of guests. Many didn’t even realise she was not sighted. We had many comments from our guests who complimented the band on the accordion player (sorry I forgot your name) Mike the fiddle player and Alan our caller. A great trio and we really recommend them! Thank you guys! "

"Well what a cracker of a céilí that was! Céilí Max played for us at our wedding and the buckets of sweat that were dripping off our guests in the chill of the evening just about says it all about how fantastic they were! The music – fantastic, the caller – brilliant (and hilarious) and communication leading up to the day – couldn’t have asked for more. We (and all our guests – they are still talking about it!) had an absolute ball at the céilí you put on for us and we highly recommend Céilí Max!"

"We had a brilliant time! It was a very hot day and the band were very accommodating, adjusting the playing times and breaking up the dancing with songs. There were only 30 of us, but everyone danced and several people commented on the quality of the music. The band even played “Waltzing Matilda” for the Australian contingent, who all sang along! Thanks very much BVB for making my party so special."

"I just wanted to drop you a note to say how brilliant Dermot and Co. were on Saturday. Everyone had a fantastic time and even those who couldn't dance were laughing and joining in by clapping and cheering. It really was a great night and we have had alot of great feedback. In the next couple of months I am going to start work on next years diary (I need to forward plan a bit more next time!) and I will definitely be giving you a call to book Dermot again."

"Rebecca, our Harpist, was fantastic. Played beautifully and looked stunning. We had to leave for photos and missed some of our favourite songs and she even stayed late to play especially for us (bride and groom). Love her, love the music, loved the service! 10/10. Highly recommend."

"Dear Davie and the Band, What with all the goings on since the wedding we have not had a chance to thank you so much for playing at our wedding on 4th June. You really brought the party together and everyone loved the music throughout, Poppy I know did not leave the dance floor for a second. The final Loch Lomond dance was the final dance of all dances and with all the guests joined arm in arm around Poppy and I it felt more like a rugby celebration - a great way for us to finish such a fantastic day and head off, slightly reluctantly, from our wedding. We will certainly recommend you to others and we hope some booking come because of it, we wish you all the best with your band and the future. Best Wishes. "

"Funk With Us are absolutely phenomenal. Obviously I am biased but they are honestly the best wedding band I’ve ever seen perform. All of our guests have since commented that our band were fantastic and I couldn’t recommend more highly! Lilac and Remko are so easy to talk to and couldn’t have been more accommodating. Such a talented bunch!"
