"We had a brilliant time! It was a very hot day and the band were very accommodating, adjusting the playing times and breaking up the dancing with songs. There were only 30 of us, but everyone danced and several people commented on the quality of the music. The band even played “Waltzing Matilda” for the Australian contingent, who all sang along! Thanks very much BVB for making my party so special."

"Where do I start. An absolutely fabulous night, everybody thoroughly enjoyed it and nothing but praise for the band and the performance. Jake's enthusiasm as caller and his patience made everyone feel at ease and you have a roomful of ceilidh converts. Thank you again to the lads for being such a huge part of a wonderful night."

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The calling was brilliant. Most people seemed to to able to follow instruction, especially if they listened. So easy to give you a 10/10. "

"Just wanted to write to say sincere thanks to you, Gerry and Mike for making our Burns Night so special last night. You created a fantastic and fun atmosphere with your talented playing, vocals and humour while your efforts to organise our dances were much appreciated and enthusiastically received by all. Numerous members of our gathering mentioned to me how much they enjoyed the band. That was also backed up by how ready people were to get up to take part in the dances. "The Shooglers played at our wedding in May and they were great! They were brilliant at calling the ceilidh dances and Davie (the caller) certainly has the gift of the gab! He encouraged everyone to get up and dance and had people laughing in the process with lines like, 'the next dance is a prize dance... Prise yourselves off your seats and get up to dance! All our guests commented on how good the band was and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them - a great find!"

"Mark and I can’t thank you enough, everyone said how great the band was. It was great because you got everyone up and dancing, it made the evening of the wedding.
