" Black Velvet Band Irish Duo came to play at the Christmas Party for our CrossFit Gym held in the farmhouse on the site; they were easy and helpful to deal with from the start; everything clear and simple to follow. The performance was perfect for the occasion and Mike and his colleague were easy going and a pleasure to have around. They spent time with a guest who wanted to learn how to play one of the instruments and were great for getting people up and dancing. Thoroughly recommend the Irish Duo! "

"We had a really great evening. The musicians were very friendly and accommodating. When some of our guests were late arriving because of the dreaded road closure and subsequent diversions, they adapted their sets to suit our timings and many non-dancers were encouraged to get up and shake a leg. Everyone said how much they enjoyed themselves and we would certainly recommend and use them again."

"We had an amazing night thanks to Blue Jewel. Our international students had never seen or heard of a ceilidh before, but after a little convincing they joined in with the first dance. By the time it came to the second dance, they all wanted to join in and then danced for hours. The band were so great at explaining what to do, especially to students who are learning English, and making them laugh - plus playing wonderful lively music! "

"Lisa played for our wedding last year and was absolutely outstanding. She made the day even more magical. Lisa was so easy to work with while giving us loads of helpful advice and meeting our every requirement. 4 couples who attended our wedding went on to book her for theirs and were every bit as happy. "What a treat it was last night to have you playing for us. Your choice of music was delightful and, of course, so beautifully played. I hope you could feel the appreciation from our guests. The dancing went very well considering the large numbers of non-members attending; what they lacked in expertise, they more than made up for in enthusiasm. "For a small band Rastrum packs a big punch. We asked them to play in the evening at our first 'All Staff' event, as someone had suggested a ceilidh could be a good way to get everyone together. It certainly worked and, although dancers were tentative to start with, by the end of the session virtually the whole group was involved. First rate playing, patient guidance on what to do (as 80% of attendees had never done this before) and a good vibe all round. A really fun and memorable evening was had by all."
