"They were awesome, they were on time, they made sure the dance floor was big enough, helped sort the running order of the night but most importantly the music, vocals and calling were faultless. "BM Ceilidh were excellent! They pitched it right for our inexperienced group, getting among us to ensure we were right and keeping steps fairly straight forward. Additionally, they were very good at trying to keep us on track with timings when we stopped for food as well as playing while we talked and recovered between dances"

"Ardverikie Ceilidh Band played for our 40th birthday (70 adults + 20 kids). They were brilliant. The caller gave clear instructions and plenty of encouragement and was undaunted by the chaos of a squad of kids. The fiddle playing and guitar were excellent, and the musicians had the judgement to know when to give the crowd a rest and mix in instrumental sets and songs. In short, they put on a great Ceilidh, are absolute professionals and their version of the song “the Queen of Argyle” made my night."

"Just a quick one, to say thank you very much for Saturday evening. Everyone that I have spoken to has had nothing but praise for the band. The music and caller were fantastic and really made the evening a success. We haven’t a final figure raised for charity to date, however I am sure that it will be a nice sum to pass on. "

"We had a great time ably assisted by the music and calling of the Black Velvet Ceilidh Band. Thank you so much! The band were very adaptable, as we changed the arrangement for the sets on the night, and reassured that they were there to entertain - which they certainly did. They got people up dancing from the first note to the last and many, many guests have commented how much they enjoyed the ceilidh."
