"Had a great time with the band at our wedding, there was a great mix throughout and all the guests found something they liked in the music including the Irish parts added. Asked for the 6 piece band as well with male and female vocals which added variation and fiddle players provide that little extra. Thanks Steve, Geoff and the team ! "Steve and the band were excellent on the night and the caller got everybody up and dancing and was part of the dance rather than just shouting instructions from the sidelines. Great fun was had by all! They even hepled out with playing our first dance track through their PA system when we could not get tyhe hotel one to connect. Would recommend this band. "

"Black Velvet Band Irish Duo – Anniversary Party – April 2025 Very talented musicians, accommodating in choosing the music. Everyone was impressed and enjoyed the evening. A number of people have asked me who the band was for potential future bookings – I think that speaks for itself. Based on their performance and what people told me after the gig, I’m sure it won’t be their last visit to Malvern!"

"Rock music and traditional Celtic music beautifully and brilliantly combined! And they really enjoy what they do - and it shows! They played a sell out gig for us at Raising the Rafters in Wath upon Dearne on 9/4/22 and were amazing. I’ve had 100% positive feedback about them from those who were there. And they all say the same thing : When are they coming back?"

"Absolutely breathtaking! Just couldn't stop saying 'wow'! So professional with a quirky twist. The music was extremely engaging right from the start and the dancing got everyone up on their feet. "I booked Craigi Ceilidh Band through Last Minute Musicians for a barn dance for my 25 year old son. The booking was completed very easily, and I was kept informed at all times. The event was a huge success, the band arrived in plenty of time to set up and entertained early guests with background music before the main event. They managed to get all our guests up and dancing - I have never been to a dance where the men had to dance together - but they were all so keen to join in. I would have no hesitation to book through LMM again, and Craigie Ceilidh band would be my first choice."

"We hired John and his band as a quintet for our wedding and what a wonderful choice. The guys travelled to the New Forest for us for our big day. Superb sound and multi talented. They provided a substantive song list to choose from plus a couple of extra requests. They had everyone up and rocking. Wonderful Irish sound and a memorable singalong to ‘Dirty Old Town’ to more modern music. On top of that lovely guys with a warm personality who really looked like they enjoyed performing. Recommended for any event. Many thanks for helping our day memorable. Paul and Jo"

"We wouldn`t change a single minute of our wedding day. Whilst its difficult to pick out a highlight, you guys did an absolutely sensational job in the evening. Everyone has been raving about how good you were. We were so impressed. You did everything we asked for, and did it perfectly. You were the ultimate professionals. Not only did you fill the dance floor but you filled the whole room right up to the bar for the whole night! We really can`t thank you enough and hope you guys also enjoyed playing at our wedding."

"Heard 'The Shooglers' play at a fantastic wedding I was photographing, well I was so desperate to join in the dancing - truly fantastic music ;-) I love the one you did with the mix of Pink Floyd - Another Brick in the Wall - was amazing, tapping my foot and itching to dance - best music at a wedding I’ve ever heard !!!!"
