"The band set the tone for an evening where everyone, but everyone, joined in the dancing in our village hall. There was an enormous variety in the types of dances, no fuss about who was meant to be standing on the right or left of their partner and lots of patience when dancers didn't initially get the hang of where to move. And probably best of all they were open to requests for dances outside their normal repertoire. A good night was had by all. Thanks!"

"Hi Helen, I Just wanted to say a massive thank you to you all for such a fantastic gig, it was literally breathtaking & so many people have said how great it was. As you may have noticed we had a fabulous time - my legs are still killing me from all the bouncing! It was lovely, and everything worked out perfectly. We will do shout out on Facebook etc. Thanks a million Best wishes Lukie "

"We had such good feedback about your performance! Everyone that came had a great time and that's definitely down to the superb music and also the very well-explained and inclusive calling. I honestly would not have believed that the majority of people dancing were new to ceilidh dancing from watching them, they all took to it really fast. We'd love it if you'd like to play again as the band was definitely the key to the success of the night."

"It's No' Reel were brilliant from start to finish. Very efficient with replying to emails etc in the lead up to the wedding which always re-assured me that they had everything under control. The music on the day was a great mixture of traditional ceilidh tunes with a modern twist. The numbers were very clearly called out by Tom and encouraged folk to get up and join in. The band were also really accommodating with us interrupting them to do some of our own music and weren't stressed by our running lateness! All in all a very professional band and we would recommend them to anyone!"

"Dear Fiddlestix, We are back from honeymoon and have finally caught up with ourselves, and I just wanted to send you a (rather belated!) email to say a huge thank you to you and the ceilidh band for the fantastic playing at our wedding. Everything went really well and everyone really enjoyed the ceilidh - we've had loads of comments from our guests about how much fun it was (special thanks to the brilliant caller), and it got everyone up on the dance floor! It was a really special part of our day and great way to end the night. Many thanks, Helen and David"

"It was a brilliant night! I had an excellent experience with the Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio – they were very responsive and flexible on and before the night. The caller was easy to understand, enthusiastic and the band are very talented musicians. I highly recommend them. "

"I hired Nick through last minute musicians as a Duo and they were great! Nic was able to play lots that got everyone dancing and joining in, he took requests and even did an impromptu duet with myself after a request from another guest. They played songs I had requested before the party brilliantly and gave the perfect country western vibe to our hoe down. He was so polite and respectful all evening and a genuinely lovely person. Last minute musicians were great with finding him as I was very particular about what I wanted for the party, they sent lots of options and searched high and low till I was happy with my choice to go with Nick. Thank you all"

"Rebecca, our Harpist, was fantastic. Played beautifully and looked stunning. We had to leave for photos and missed some of our favourite songs and she even stayed late to play especially for us (bride and groom). Love her, love the music, loved the service! 10/10. Highly recommend."

"We had a wedding party which included visitors from Australia, several European countries, the south of England as well as Scots. It's No Reel Ceilidh Band made sure that everyone had the chance to learn the dances and the great atmosphere they generated made sure we all had a fantastic time. Their take on the progressive barn Dance was very entertaining. Tom could not have been more helpful with the arrangements beforehand, as well as on the night itself, and everyone was very complimentary about the music."
