"I meant to e-mail last week and say you and your band are bloody awesome! That was a total American thing to say, but honestly, I am not just saying that you guys are great! My husband loved it too – he loves Pink Floyd so when you were singing The Wall through the ceilidh music it was brilliant. "Dear Davie and all the Band, Just to say the very biggest of THANK YOU for Saturday night - you were just brilliant, everything and more that we could have wanted from our wedding band, and we have had so many comments and compliments from everyone who was there about you - I have a feeling many of them will remember when organising their future events as you guys just take ceilidh to a whole new level... We had an absolute ball reeling our way around, especially for 'Another Brick in the Dashing White Sergeant', and the Cumberland reel was utterly Epic - not one we had in fact danced before but definitely the best of the night!! And had so much fun with the rock side - all the family were up and going for their favourites. Hope you had fun and managed to squeeze in a bacon roll and some cake - and a beer or two!! "Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio / Georgia's Wedding Ceilidh / October 2024 It was so much fun to have the trio along and they were so clear with their instructions that even the French at our wedding could follow along. Mike’s communication was superb and at one point extremely helpful by replying quickly with a key document, as we dealt with a problem with our venue. Thank you all."

Lisa was so easy to work with while giving us loads of helpful advice and meeting our every requirement. 4 couples who attended our wedding went on to book her for theirs and were every bit as happy. "Paul was recommended to us by a former colleague. He provided a strong three-piece band to lead a ceilidh at our wedding reception. For an intergenerational group of mixed-ability dancers (including some with no ability) he was encouraging, clear in his verbal instructions, and the band uplifting and rhythmic. Just about everybody participated in the dancing at some point or another in the evening, and it was thoroughly enjoyable. Communication with Paul at all stages was straightforward and easy, and I would heartily recommend him and his ensemble should anybody be considering commissioning a ceilidh!"

"Hi Dermot Just to thank you for your and the band's entertainment gig at our daughters's recent wedding. It was obvious that each band member was a professional both in proficency of instrument and presentation of the music. I was also impressed with the mix of old classical Irish (re O'Carolan) and the more recent lively musical pieces. Indeed, the songs also exhibited this diversity with noted classics and singalong standards. It was assuring when the band arrived with ample time for set-up and ready to play on cue. Thanks again.
