"Jamie was fantastic from start to finish, incorporating some songs we’d asked for with some spur of the moment classics that got everyone dancing for hours on end! He managed to make the most of the weather on the day with an outdoor set that sounded incredible, and then kicked of the evening with a lively indoor one. The music was the perfect fit for our day, and everyone commented on how great he sounded. Huge thanks and for anyone who books him you’ll have an amazing time!"

"Dear Fiddlestix, A huge thank you to the band for providing such an amazing, unforgettable ceilidh for our wedding celebrations at the Telegraph in Putney. We were blown away by the absolutely fabulous music and, to Sarah, a special thank you for your expertise and patience with all our family and friends. Everyone, be they young or old, shy or willing, natural dancers or rhythmically challenged, had an absolute ball and we've had loads of feedback from guests saying it was the highpoint of the evening. "Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio / 16/07/2021 / Cecilia and Johny’s Wedding Mike and the Black Velvet Band played at our wedding and put together a fantastic set. They had very thoughtfully come up with some more Covid secure dances to cater for people wishing to stay in their respective bubbles but managed to maintain the energy and enthusiasm throughout. The music was brilliant and the calling was the best that I’ve seen at a ceilidh (a difficult skill to perfect!). We did 6 or 7 dances and the band very considerately asked how we (my wife and I) would like to lead the dances to ensure plenty of people engaged but we had no concerns as everyone joined in. All of our guests were delighted and we can’t thank the band for stepping in at relatively short notice, we had a brilliant time."

"This band is suitable for any occasion, the music is fabulous, you cannot help but tap your feet and get up and dance, you feel the passion they put into their playing and it is truly excellent. Young and old will and do enjoy this music, absolutely loved them. "

"Jock Rock were simply brilliant. Their music repertoire was right up my street and they learned our chosen first dance for us which was great. They played a great mix of ceilidh and rock / pop music which was just the right mix for the crowd - some bands don't have enough of a ceilidh repertoire, no problems with Jock Rock though.. They are lovely folk and I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a great band."

"Absolute band played at our civil partnership party and really brought a lively atmosphere! We all enjoyed the mix of traditional Irish tunes and classic hits, and they played songs to get people up and dancing. Particularly special was they learned specific songs for me to sing with them (as a surprise for my partner), and helped me with the singing which was much appreciated. They also played songs from their set list that we requested, which was great. The band members were really friendly and great to chat to. Thanks so much! Ro & Tom, Wedding in Bath – 9th July 2022 "

"It was a fabulous evening! Thank you so much for the wonderful joyful music. Noeleen’s excellent calling skills resulted in lots of people keen to get up and dance! It was such a fun night. Looking forward to doing it again! It was such a great night and we were both touched that you remembered our wedding reception! "We booked the band for our wedding reception back in October. We are both huge Irish music fans and have had several memorable trips to Ireland so it was especially important to us to have a live Irish band on our big day. We spend a fair amount of time looking for the "perfect Irish band" and were over the moon to have found The Extonions. From the initial enquiry Mac was both friendly and very professional. He instantly made us feel like we had made the right decision and was more than happy to include any special song requests we had. He then made sure they included on the night and that everyone had a great time. All the band members were lovely and friendly chatting to our guests and fitted in perfectly with our relaxed party atmosphere. Many of our guests have commented on how great they were and we would not hesitate in booking them again in the future or recommending them to others. Thanks so much for making our wedding day so memorable."
