"Following many hours of researching for a ceilidh band for our wedding (August 2021), we decided on Blue Jewel. After an evening of brilliant music, lively calling and enthusiastic dancing, we now simply cannot recommend them enough. They are an incredibly friendly group who worked in partnership with us on the day to help create an evening that we will never forget. With a series of different dances (led by clear and directive calling), all creating a sea of smiles and energy, they are an incredibly talented group. And even despite a slight delay in the timings (from our side), they were both patient and understanding. "

"Thank you so much for being able to accommodate us on the wedding of my son! What with atrocious weather causing extensive flooding that weekend and having to postpone the wedding from the Saturday night until the Sunday, we were more than grateful that the band was still willing and able to perform on the Sunday. Great music and excellent calling made the evening, with all participants thoroughly enjoying themselves - sometimes with a little over enthusiasm! I highly recommend this band to any future clients booking. The band were more than helpful - especially Jennie with all my questions and the band on the day were superb. "

"Hi Fiddlestix, thank you so much for such a fun time at our party on Saturday. The band were amazing and Geoff the caller did an amazing job at keeping us under control! The dance floor was always packed and we’ve had so many compliments about you. This is the first time many of our friends have been to a Ceilidh and they all had a great time. "From our very first emails to the sweaty (from all of us) hugs at the end of our night, Oscar and Barney were nothing short of wonderful. Not only are their musical talents just completely and ridiculously incredible, they were always so kind and encouraging - with nothing too much trouble and keen to take on whatever request we made! Playing as a duo immediately after our wedding ceremony and with their band as we danced into the night, Barney and Oscar have given us the gift of memories to treasure soundtracked by their amazing music. We cannot thank them, or recommend them highly enough. ♥️🍀"

"The Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band were a great asset to the evening. The band members were friendly and they were very good at spreading their enthusiasm with the party guests. They did not give me any cause to regret making the booking, and I would recommend them to others. The choice of dances was appropriate for the skill-level of the guests, and the caller was a good coach for those one or two who did not know their clockwise from their anticlockwise. They helped to make a really good evening that everyone enjoyed. Thank you."

"Just wanted to say thank you to everyone at Murphy's Lore for Saturday night - you were fantastic and absolutely made the day. We had lots of first time ceilidh-ers who were sceptical before it began and they kept telling me how much fun they were having! This really was the most fun evening. Great energy and enthusiasm .
