"We had these guys do a ceilidh for a joint 40th birthday party and they were absolutely brilliant. Beautiful music, a brilliant caller in Jake who struck exactly the right tone for the bash. Clear instructions, slowly bringing the music in, a lot of fun and the right mix of old and new ceilidhs. Would highly recommend"

"Hi John, It's Ruth here - the Birthday girl from the Klezmer Keilidh on 20th Apr. I wanted to thank you and Band for a simply wonderful evening. Everyone had a fabulous time, people have come up and said to me "as soon as the Band started playing" they just had to "get up and dance!" Another friend said that he had the "Best fun ever" The first piece was great at getting everyone up and involved. Really fun. Then I appreciated being able to lead Tsadik Katamar, and Jerusalama. Having some dances in 2s, and other in 3s allowed for those who came as a couple, or who came on their own to join with others. Thank you so, so much, again. Best wishes, Ruth"

"Thank you so much to Steve and the band for a fantastic party. Steve made arrangements at very short notice to help provide a band for our party. The dances were explained very well and all ages and abilities were able to join in with the fun. The band played a special birthday song for the birthday girl which she loved! Even weeks after the party guests are still talking about how great the band was and how much fun the afternoon was. We would highly recommend Blue Jewel!!! "

"Blue Jewel Ceilidh band were absolutely brilliant! They played for our wedding and had everyone up on the dance floor all night! The music was wonderful and the calling clear and encouraging for those of us with two left feet! I also found all the communication leading up to the wedding really quick and helpful. "I booked Whisky & Ginger for my Gran and Grandad's wedding anniversary party and they were absolutely great! From our first interaction, they were super professional and really put my mind at ease with everything else I had to organise. I truly felt I could just leave them to get on with it and not have to worry. And I was right! They arrived on the day, set-up super quickly and super subtly. We were a bit delayed with our timings of other events during the day and they were so helpful and willing to adapt and delay what they had planned. They even took some last minute requests from us on the day and included them in their set which really made it special for my Gran as they were able to perform her favourite song. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone thinking about booking, they were totally professional, entertaining and fun!!!! Thank you again!!!!!"

"This band is a class act. Joanne has an unique voice that if heard once, you will instantly recognise. She has a great range and sometimes sings in an operatic tone too. Her husband James is a great guitarist and singer too. They compliment each other and are fun to watch. You will not be disappointed."

"Hi I’d be delighted to leave you a review! Thank you so much for playing for our wedding Ceilidh dance and disco at the lodge on the Loch on Tuesday night. To be honest with you, we “thought” we had booked just your average Joe ceilidh band to play for us, but you guys are certainly not just average you are utterly brilliant. We loved all the Ceilidh Dances esp faithless in the strip the willow, top class. Also, the Dj set was brilliant and had everyone dancing all night. 10/10 hope to see you somewhere and and will recommend you to everyone. Thank you a million once again."
