"Steve, Geoff and Absolute Band were brilliant to deal with from start to finish. Really friendly people, superb musicians and ensured our dancefloor was busy all night. "We decided on a ceilidh for our wedding reception; we thought it would give our day a great "party" feel. My husband is also Dutch and we wanted something that would suit everyone regardless of age, background and language. We definitely hit the jackpot with Blue Jewel - they did a fantastic ceilidh and the atmosphere was brilliant. We even had grandparents joining in the dancing! The instructions were clear and perfect for all language levels, and Blue Jewel was very flexible (we were running a little late) and had even looked up a Dutch song/dance especially for our wedding! We really enjoyed it and have had nothing but compliments about the band, music, and what a great idea the ceilidh was. I would definitely recommend!"

"We wish to thank you all for such a wonderful evening on Saturday. Several people have asked us for your details. We have been asked if we'll have another barn dance in 10 years time. However, one dear work colleague suggested we hold another more quickly for my retirement... and it was suggested in two weeks time...!!!! We had so many phone calls the next day saying how much people enjoyed themselves."

"Although I thank them last night, could you pass on my thanks once more to Joe and the OddSox. Their playing was great - really inspiring. We were so impressed by the different instruments being played. There were dances, in fact most of them I think, when no one was left sitting down. Everyone was laughing and enjoying the evening and everyone said what a great ceilidh it was. The music was great as was the calling and they timed the breaks just right for people to catch breath and have their food. OddSox really made the evening a great success."

So many people said what a great band you were and you were so good at calling the dances and keeping everyone right. It was also great fun doing some of the less well known dances. With Mike's dance-calling all dancers were able to perform even the more complex ones with no major disasters on the floor!
