"Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio – Christian and Fiona’s 40th Wedding Anniversary Party – May 2026 Wonderful, great musicians, great caller, managed to get dancing going for a mixed age group which included from quite senior to a few young children. The band were very helpful and flexible and helped towards a memorable evening for everyone. Great music, plenty of dancing, great party!"

"We booked Funk With Us for our 30th wedding anniversary and the band completely exceeded our expectations. We were hoping to find a band that would play our favourite hits from the time we first met and the band made an effort to include those songs in their set. Our guests especially loved how engaging both singers and the musicians were, allowing guests to sing along with them! "We had seen this band before booking them for our wedding, so we had the highest expectations of them and somehow they still managed to surpass them! An absolutely perfect choice for our special day. Do not underestimate the impact of a good ceilidh band for a wedding or other party function as it breaks the ice amongst all the guests and never fails to get everyone up dancing, whether sober or not-so-sober! We only married yesterday and already have guests messaging us requesting The Blue Jewel's details!"

"Black Velvet Band Irish Duo – Anniversary Party – April 2025 Very talented musicians, accommodating in choosing the music. Everyone was impressed and enjoyed the evening. A number of people have asked me who the band was for potential future bookings – I think that speaks for itself. Based on their performance and what people told me after the gig, I’m sure it won’t be their last visit to Malvern!"

"​We booked Juniper for a Burns Night Event at our restaurant. Juniper were so easy going and provided exactly what we wanted & more! The back ground music as diners arrived was perfect and created a great atmosphere. The second set was amazing and got everyone on their feet to finish off a superb evening. We really wouldn’t hesitate recommending these guys & can’t wait to have them back"

"Luisa was an incredible addition to our wedding day - listening back to clips of her playing brings the two of us to tears with all the happy memories it brings back, and our guests thought she was wonderful. We appreciated how flexible she was, moving around so we could hear her better, and learning a song specifically for us. She was a delight, and we're very grateful. We would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone who asked us."

"Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio – Simon’s Wedding – April 2025 Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio performed at our Wedding reception. The music was fantastic and Alan the caller talked our guests through the dances with patience and wit. Our guests included some serious Scottish dancing enthusiasts together with a lot of enthusiastic amateurs, complete beginners and no hopers – all of whom had an absolute blast! We would highly recommend the band and a couple of our guests made enquiries about booking them for upcoming events, which speaks for itself. Thank you for providing us with fantastic memories filled with joy and laughter."

"BM Ceilidh were excellent! They pitched it right for our inexperienced group, getting among us to ensure we were right and keeping steps fairly straight forward. Additionally, they were very good at trying to keep us on track with timings when we stopped for food as well as playing while we talked and recovered between dances"
